None of the top clubs in this league have gotten going yet, so every fixture looks tough. Generally, the majority of the smaller clubs in the league have had proper pre-seasons and are better prepared, while the top seven have had their preparations interrupted by the Euros.

Lets not forget the impact of foriegn tours on the preseason preparations. We can be thankful that we had a settled team from the minute we wrapped up Cazorla, and we know how difficult that can be when you compare with the previous summer.

And while Chelsea seem to be sitting on top of the pile, with some impressive displays from Hazarad and Torres seemingly finding his boots, I am yet to be convinced with them. The thrashing Radamel Falcao gave them is not the only reason I say this.

Then again, Swansea and West Brom are currently on spots 2 and 3 on the table Razz

Read ffs. I say Falcao is NOT THE ONLY REASON, ergo, there ARE MORE REASONS.

And you are relatively doing well. That is why I said in the first line "while Chelsea seem to be sitting on top of the pile, with some impressive displays from Hazarad and Torres seemingly finding his boots...."

And before another chap decides to quote me wrongly and remind me that its too early to draw conclusions from the table, that is the exact reason I want to show by saying "Then again, Swansea and West Brom are currently on spots 2 and 3 on the table"

*Michu is only the fifth player since 1992 to score at least 4 goals in his opening 3 Premier League games (Pavel Pogrebnyak, Collins John, Adrian Mutu and Patrik Berger), and only the fourth to score in each of his first 3 appearances in the competition (Pogrebnyak, Mutu, Michael Ricketts). Swansea completed 577 of 621 passes, more than twice Sunderland’s 282 from 352. Swansea's passing accuracy in this match (92.9%) is the second-highest recorded by Opta (data since 2003/04), after Man United vs Fulham earlier this season (93%).

*West Brom have kept 7 clean sheets in their last 9 Premier League games at The Hawthorns; the exceptions were against Arsenal banana and Newcastle

*Just 1 of Aston Villa’s last 8 Premier League goals has been scored by a striker (4 by defenders)Rival Watch - Page 21 123n7r

Michael Cox wrote

Gastón Ramírez, Southampton

"Southampton's record signing was on international duty in the week, appearing as a substitute in Uruguay's 4-0 defeat in Colombia on Friday before starting their 1-1 draw with Ecuador on Tuesday, so Nigel Adkins might wait before giving the attacking midfielder his full debut. The former Bologna playmaker is talented but very raw – he's direct and purposeful when he gets the ball, cutting onto his left side from the right flank, but sometimes struggles to impose himself upon games. After Jason Puncheon performed well in Southampton's last game against Manchester United, Ramírez might start as a substitute".

thanks for response mate Razz

Yaya Toure has averaged 99 passes per game so far in the Premier League - a divisional high. No player from Stoke has yet made 99 passes in total over their three matches.

The last three Premier League games at the Britannia Stadium between Stoke and Man City have ended with a 1-1 scoreline.

here is analysis of this fixture last season

Pretty funny that Anton will reject the handshake, considering RDM just said Cole and Terry will shake hands.

I really don't see the need for pre-game handshakes, but it does turn up the fiestyness of the match.
