Well Kenwyne is at Stoke and i guess thats not THAT bad. Latapy was great, especially in scotland and portugal and I thought he was a bit underrated.

Why are we disucussing If luiz is world class or not?TS and luiz wouldn't have conceded those 4 goals,period.I'm sure Argentina would have scored but not 4

By this logic, we might as well discredit most of the goals Messi and Ronaldo score each week as majority of them are due to bad defending in some fashion.

When CR scores an amazing goal against a shit defence.... do we discredit because the opposition is poor? no we dont same goes for Messi we just praise the brilliance of the goal.....

Besides its not like Messi has'nt scored a better goal than that against WC defences before Laughing

Its fine to support a foreign NT, everyone does it over here, but when I see people saying 'We' this and 'We' that about a country that they have no personal connection with, it just sounds wrong.

Brazil missed leaders at the back, with Silva and Luiz the match will have been won by Brazil, Argentina though are terrible outside their front 4, their midfield can't hold the ball and their defense and goalkeeper look amateurish at times. But it did make for and exciting encounter.

It's a friendly match, the scoreline is not the only basis for assessing the teams, you can't help but feel for a centre back pairing with a handfull of international caps coming against some of the best attackers in the world. It would have been a better contest if Luiz and Silva had played.

btw messi scored better goal getting past ramos arbeloa marcelo. so all this if silva played if luiz played predictions doesnt make sense

Messi had a very good match. Brazil was the better team though, imo.

People are blaming the CBs, sure they were (and are) crap, but the CDMs were nowhere to be seen in 2 of the 4 goals, were directly at fault for his first goal as well.

i'm not fully happy with argentina's play, no defence no midfield if there was no that 4 attacker they would lose every match.

about brazil...they played goood but they have no good finisher. Neymar is a great player but he is not a great finisher. if they had some european strikers they would score some goals

The way I only saw it was, Argentina defended terrible, but when Hulk and Neymar etc were 1 on 1 with the goal keeper they hit it too softly, too wide or a stupid back pass. Argentina's 4 in the back were so horrible, and always out of position that I believe Mascherano had more tackles in the box then them, a center defensive mid.. more tackles in the box then a CB says something.

happy for Messi to be silencing his critics who say he's useless for Argentina now. I'm not a hater though and I was hoping for CR7 and RVP to have good days today too.

Well obviously, but it had some fantastic stuff in it. First BRA leads, then ARG leads, then BRA leads, then ARG leads. Also it had most of end to end stuff I remember seeing in one game. Before first Messi goal, Neymar was just 1on1 against Romero, and before the 4-3 winner, Brazil had like a 5 against 3 counter attack.
