of Cups, Europe & Confusion
In England, Chelsea (6th in league) has qualified for the group stage of Champions League being the reigning champion while Liverpool (8th) has qualified for qualifying round of Europa League for winning the League Cup. This much is clear, as well as the fact that Tottenham (4th) will be in Europa League (group-stage) instead of Champions League (qualifying round).
Now answer these:
Will Arsenal (3rd) play in the qualifying round or the group-stage of Champions League!
Will Newcastle (5th) play in the qualifying round or the group-stage of Europa League!
Will Everton (7th) qualify for Europe as Chelsea has qualified for Champions League!
Lyon (4th in league) & Marseille (10th) have won the French Cup & French League Cup respectively. Both the cups offer Europa League qualification and since Lyon has achieved that via league position, do that mean Bordeaux (5th) will qualify for Europa League!
Both the finalists of German Cup have qualified for Champions League group-stage. Does this mean Wolfsburg (8th) will qualify for Europa League!
PSV (4th) won the Dutch Cup and like Lyon holds Europa League qualification via league position. Which of Heerenveen (5th) or Heracles (Cup finalist) will qualify for Europa League!
Cup winner Napoli (4th) has Europa League qualification via league position while the other finalist (Juventus) has qualified for Champions League group-stage. Does this mean Inter (6th) will qualify for Europa League!
As Cup winner Barcelona (2nd) has qualified for Champions League group-stage, which of Osasuna (7th) & Bilbao (Cup finalist) will qualify for Europa League!

Re: of Cups, Europe & Confusion
In Germany, Dortmund (1), Bayern (2) and Schalke (3) qualify directly for the CL group stage. M'gladbach (4) goes into the CL quali play-offs (League route, unseeded). Leverkusen (5) goes directly into the EL group phase, Stuttgart (6) enters in the EL quali play-offs (as seeded team) and Hannover (7) enters in the 3rd EL quali round as seeded team. Wolfsburg (8.) misses out.

Re: of Cups, Europe & Confusion
Well, in Germany the DFB-Pokal winner was Dortmund (BL Champion, CL qualified) and Cup runner-up was Bayern (BL runner-up, CL qualified). That way the Cup winner (or runner-up) EL slot were not used and thus the BL 7th got the nod.
