Former Player: Mario Gómez
I know the season just started but But Super Mario has score 6 already, another Hattrick today.
4 goals in 4 league matches and 6 goals in 7 appearance.
Mario Gomez is the Real McCoy...?

His totally unstopable, I don't know what to make of him, he miss a lot of chances but then again he score a lot of goals.

He wastes as many as he scores though and against great competition (sorry K'lautern fans) he may only get one chance.

Re: Former Player: Mario Gómez
The only issue i have with Gomez that he tends to miss alot even in the big games if he started to be more consistent with his finishing he would probably be the best CF in the world ( Messi and CR7 dont count)

No disrespect to Gomez, I like him and thinks he's a great striker but he's no Villa.

Re: Former Player: Mario Gómez
I think I saw some statistic not too long ago that showed that Godmez actually is less wasteful with his chances than Messi, Ronaldo and about every other of the top goalscorers.Immaculate_Mole wrote:The only issue i have with Gomez that he tends to miss alot even in the big games if he started to be more consistent with his finishing he would probably be the best CF in the world ( Messi and CR7 dont count)
Let's take the transfermarkt.de stats from last season, there you had at least the minutes per goal ratio, and that was:
Gomez: 86 minutes per goal
CRonaldo: 89 min/goal
Messi: 98 min/goal
Van Persie: 112 min/goal
Robben: 115 min/goal (wow, that actually surprised me)
Eto'o: 125 min/goal
Tevez: 159 min/goal
Villa: 169 min/goal
Dzeko: 184 min/goal
Rooney: 215 min/goal
(BTW, this season I'd be afraid of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. Very afraid: 50 min/goal)

Re: Former Player: Mario Gómez
and not so long ago ..tons of Bundesliga and Bayern fans asked for him to be sold because he couldn't score and when Juve was linked with him they all laughed at us for trying to have 2 Amauris ...

he is a great striker/poacher and always a threat, but I really don´t see him as the best CF at the moment
