Well I thought he said it officially, plus Hazard said something (albeit a douchey mercenary thing) about his future D:

Re: The Official Arsenal Summer Transfers/Rumours Thread
Fiorentina want to swap young playmaker Adem Ljajic for Arsenal outcast Marouane Chamakh.
According to reports in Italy, Fiorentina's chief scout Eduardo Macia has identified the Morocco international as the man to reinvigorate the club's forward line.
And he is hoping to tempt Arsenal into letting him leave if the Gunners get Ljajic, 20, in return.
The Serbian almost joined Manchester United in 2009 but the proposed deal fell through - and he eventually joined Fiorentina from Partizan in 2010.
But his career has never really taken off in Italy and he was recently punched by then manager Delio Rossi, which earned him the sack.
Ljajic is expected to leave this summer and now Macia is hoping his departure could land them Chamakh.
Despite a promising start to his career at Arsenal, the 28-year-old has become a bit-part player at the club and scored only once in 11 Premier League appearances last season.
Both Ljajic and Chamakh are currently valued at around £6m so Fiorentina hope that a swap deal can be easy to broker if Arsenal are prepared to let their striker go.

Re: The Official Arsenal Summer Transfers/Rumours Thread
^^ Why would we want to add more depth to an already populous midfield, and let go of the one decent striker (apart from RvP ofcourse) that we have for depth right now?
(Yes, I still think Chamkh has got it - as he looked okay in the few minutes when he came on even as a sub, and the only reason he is off colour is because of lacking regular playing time).

20 is kinda old for us, if they have any player around 12-14 we could do the trade.

Podolski will mostly play on the left wing unless van Persie gets injured, we need another striker - I wouldn't mind Vela, but he doesn't want to return right? Joel Campbell or Afobe then?

Re: The Official Arsenal Summer Transfers/Rumours Thread
I'd be fine with Chamakh staying because I agree he probably still has talent, but I think he's wasting his career if he chooses to stay 2nd fiddle to RvP. Our backup strikers have to be good enough that they can threaten RvP's spot in the lineup, adaptable so they can play other positions even if they can't displace RvP, and/or young so that there is the potential for them to improve in the future. Chamakh is none of these, so for his career it would be best for him to move on, along with Park, although I don't see both leaving this summer.
I'd actually be happy with Bendtner and Vela coming back, but I know neither wants to so...

I really would not mind keeping Chamakh he is a force in the air and that is something we really need.

Last season,he didn't concede a goal for 558 minutes in the league, which is a Norwegian League record. And at 28 years,he can be a solid back-up and also compete with Szczesny.

I'm reading this a lot on twitter, hasn't been confirmed yet by a solid source though afaik. Sounds like it's going to happen though, hopefully it's announced later today.
