I agree we dont care as much as other countrys but that isnt the only problem.... we have a lack of talent, to go with a lack of tactical understanding and managers that are stuck in the 70s....

I agree with Charrua on this, England's squad is not that bad. Certainly not Spain or Germany but it's something that can do well...

We got to the Semi's in 96 Semi's in 90 and the quarters in 2002 and 2006...

Everytime lost on penalties so we cant have been that bad surely :coffee:

I don't think Gareth Barry will be a miss to England in the EURO's. It showed last time against Germany that he was too slow and probably out of his depth. He copes with Man City because he has the players around him to make him look good. Quite like Jagielka though!

Yeah so now Lampard's injured you heard Hodgson called up Henderson?
What!!!
Yeah, he wanted to know if he had Paul Scholes' number.

Oh how we laughed. But not anymore since he's actually called up Henderson,(one of) the biggest flop(s) this season. If Parker gets injured that's it, we're gonna struggle to get through the group stage as it is.

(That said fear not on the day we first play i'll still find a way to reassure myself we have a genuinely good outside chance of winning the tournament)

England striker Jermain Defoe has returned home from the team's Euro 2012 training base in Krakow following the death of his father.
The Tottenham forward, 29, is expected to return to the squad in due course and no replacement will be called up.
