All depends on what type of midfielder we are looking for whether its someone to sit deep and recycle possession and allow Cabaye to play further forward or have Cabaye in that role and buy a sort of CM/AM hybrid.

I still have no clue quite frankly, but if its the former than i think Marquez would be a good signing.

This could be one of the most exciting transfer seasons in recent years and maybe with FFP kicking in ,teams would want to strengthen their team as much as possible.

-Chelsea on the back of their CL success could once again see Roman opening his chequebook and go on a spending spree.

-Barcelona on the back of a dissapointing season could fix some holes in their team especially now that they have a new coach at the helm.They have been linked with many big names in the press.

-Milan and Inter are in a rebuilding process and you could actually see Milan opening their wallets for once now that most of their old legendary guard have left.Whilst Inter are set for a no.of changes in their squad.

-Juventus' president Agnelli on the back of the Scudetto success has promised atleast one big name this summer.We could also be making many more additions to further improve the squad to mount a challenge in the Champions League.

-Arsenal and Wenger for once could make a substantial investment to strengthen the squad especially after many years of frustrating trophyless seasons and i'm sure they're desperate to end their trophy drought..The signing of Podolski could be a significant step towards ending that.

-Bayern Munich usually spend big when they have dissapointing trophyless seasons like they did when in 2007 they signed a whole host of stars.You could expect something similar this year as well.Whilst in the Mourinho Camp ,they're probably looking add one WC quality midfielder to their ranks and remains to be seen who would be the chosen one..There are many big names circulating in the press.

-Man United surely need an upgrade in midfield..They might probably sign Kagawa for the AM position but i'm sure they'll look into their central midfield and RB weaknesses.

-And ofcourse this market could be potentially dominated by the Arab owned clubs..Man City would want to make their squad THE BEST possible to Challenge on all fronts whilst PSG owners are looking to establish PSG as a global brand on par with other big clubs.

Whilst taking into account the potential high profile transfers from big clubs across the world,clubs like Roma,Newcastle,Valencia etc would look to ever improve their squads and meet their objectives..

So potentially this could be one of the best transfer seasons ever. Discuss as to what big moves could possibly occur this summer.
