Which club made a better investment, Inter in Alvarez or Roma in Lamela?

Both play roughly the same position. Both are young (Lamela is 19, Alvarez is 22). Both came at the same time. Both cost approximately similar prices (Alvarez 12M, Lamela 15M). Both spent time injured and only scored a few goals and assists. So it seems to me that both players are very comparable. Which team made the better decision? which player is more important? and which player had a better season?

There's a four year gap in age, bro, huge difference.

I'll take Erik on the basis of potential.

Is Lamela's season comparable to Alvarez' statistically? (Honest question I don't know)

If so you have to give Lamela the edge because he's younger

Ricky has been excellent for us though

i like alvarez more, but he's had an extensive injury history so the lamela buy is probably the better investment

Lamela probably has more potential due to his younger age playing at a top league, but Alvarez can just as well explode and become GOAT at 25. Who knows?
