Play him in rotation with Arbeloa, for example Carjaval playing the home games(where we can't lose) and Arbeloa the away games. In terms of ability he's one level above Alvaro atm from what I've seen.

Carvajal is the only player in our castilla team that might just be ready for first team. play him against bad teams like varane in the first season.

Carvajal is ready to move up to the first team full time. He can alternate with Arbeloa and Coentrao, it should be a no brainer theoretically.

Real Madrid is on the hunt for another right-back. The departure of Daniel Carvajal means the club needs to sign a reinforcement for this position. The youth team player was considered by the club as a possible alternative to cover it, but now that the player has been sold to Bayer Leverkusen, Real will have to dip into the transfer market.

Álvaro Arbeloa is currently the only reliable right-back, now that Sergio Ramos has cemented his place in the centre of defence after a spectacular season. Lass and Altintop, who have been used in this position, are not specialists and are thought to be on their way out of the club. Raúl Albiol has also been played in the right-back position from time to time.

José Mourinho’s ideal player would be Maicon. The coach worked with the defender at Inter Milan and, although he is about to turn 31, he is a player with proven quality and considered one of the best right-backs in recent years, along with Dani Alves. There’s just one small obstacle in the way of Real signing the player: Chelsea. The London club has allegedly been in negotiation for the player and could pay between €8 million -€10 million. However, Mourinho is not to be deterred from signing the defender.

Other players who have been linked with Real Madrid are Piszczek (from Poland), Ivanovic (Serbia) and Mario Fernándes (Brazil). There has also been talk of signing Iraola, Walter, Isla and Bosingwa.

As noted by the web 'sportmediaset', the transfer of Brazilian winger to Real Madrid is now closed and only need the clubs to decide to make it official.

This information indicates that Real Madrid would pay 8 million euros to Inter by taking the services of Brazilian international. With respect to the player, according to the sources, it would perceive a three-year 4.5 million.

Brazilian right-back Maicon is believed to have asked Inter Milan’s management not to include him in the club’s squad for the Europa League as it would reduce his chances of a move to Real Madrid.

According to Spanish daily Marca, the full-back is desperate for a move to the Spanish giants and has even rebuffed tempting offers from reigning Champions League winners Chelsea and cash-rich Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala for this purpose.

Maicon is done, we're much better off getting either Micah Richards or Kyle Walker. I would have loved Philippe Lahm for his versatility operating on both sides of the pitch and his outstanding defensive and offensive abilities, but I doubt he'd leave Bayern Munich at this time. At his age, I have my doubts about Maicon being able to play at the highest level.
