Busquets, the brilliant mind
Sergio Busquets is an extremely underrated footballer, in my mind he is the absolute best in the world in his position.
Many don't understand his game, i found a great video which highlights alot of his game.
His diving, racism and antics on the field also color too much peoples perspective on him. I really hate the stupid things he does, however denying his amazing talent because of these things is irrational to say the least.
What's your opinion on him?
If you want to read more on Busquets or the central midfielder role i recommend this amazing piece on Zonal Marking http://www.zonalmarking.net/2010/07/30/central-midfield-role/

Lol underrated ? Are you serious ?
I think everyone rates him highly. He would walk into the midfield at Every other club in the world.
Hated might be what you are looking for. I hate this *bleep* diving ass *bleep* bitch.
But I rate him very highly.

I recall most people here would not describe him as "world class"

Re: Busquets, the brilliant mind
Because they hate him for his fcking diving.
Man Utd - replace Carrick
Real Madrid - replace Granero / Khedira / Lass
Milan -replace van Bommel
Etc etc etc
Bayern
Chelsea
Man City
Arsenal
Juventes
Inter
Dortmund
Not a single top team where he wouldn't start.
Will he be like by the fans though ? *bleep* no. I think Barca fans hate him for the shit he does.

That's because he isn't there yet.
Javi Martinez > Busquets for example, yet I don't hear people saying he's WC.

He won't walk into the Juve first team.
Breaking up the Marchisio-Pirlo-Vidal trio would be the last thing anybody would do to the team, and I'm sure the majority of Juve fans agree with me.
Busquets is a very good player though.

Put him without Xavi and Iniesta, and he won't be world class.

Nice spanky, u got an eye for talent
Was Redondo really that good though? Dont seem to hear many speak of him when they discuss past greats...

Short answer? Yes
He carried us to the CL in 2000. The only thing Biscuits the brillian man carries is Messi's jock strap.

Re: Busquets, the brilliant mind
I still maintain that Busquets is underrated. Not by all mind you but his performances often don't get the credit they deserve.
Maybe because people are jealous. That seems an obvious explanation for it

Jvi martinez hasn't proved anything yet . he is of course a good player , and has a great potential but he is nowhere busquets atm . nor even fabregas . Btw he is playing CB , not midfielder anymore

He is a world class player, and the Best in his position. Anyone who disagrees is most probably jealous or in denial

Re: Busquets, the brilliant mind
Hate to say it, but he is the best.
All his theatrics aside I wouldn't trade him for another DM tbh. He looks like he isn't even trying and everything he does looks so simple, but he makes it look simple. Even difficult things can be made to look easy and he does that.
I keep reading that Xavi and Iniesta make him look good, but tbh it works the other way too. I'm sure if you'd ask them they would say he makes their midfield job easier too. He plays like he is 30...just imagine how good he will be by then.
