Norwegian referee Tom Henning Ovrebo turned down four penalty appeals by the home side at Stamford Bridge three years ago as Barcelona reached the Champions League final at Chelsea’s expense with a late goal.

The 45 year old was subjected to death threats from irate Chelsea fans and has told The Guardian that he still receives occasional abuse.

"It has lasted and I get about three to four emails [from Chelsea fans] a year," Ovrebo said.

"It is not nice but nothing too serious, either. I don't let it upset me or my family. They do not know much about it as I do not show them the emails."

Speaking about his performance during the controversial game three years ago, Ovrebo added: "Looking back there are certainly things I would have done differently. I learnt a lot from that experience.

"But all referees will tell you that they have good and bad matches, moments they do well and moments they do not so well, that is all part of the job. I cannot keep regrets about this one match. My life has to move on from this."

How is it? aint my fault the guy doesnt practice what he preaches and its just that what I laugh about, same way how I felt embarrassed of Laporta's hypocrisy.

And btw aint the first time that some guys quote get posted as a signature, I remember free_cat saying that xavi is humble and respectful as a signature by some posters,so why aint I allowed to have a signature about a guys hypocrisy?

Well i'm not wrong am I? And I have a right to say what i did. With the amount of success you guys have achieved, i'm surprised that you all whine after a draw or loss. How many times have we seen a Scandal in La Liga thread after you guys don't win? And us? yea majority Arsenal fans complained about the pitch in Milan coz we need the wings. But what about when we lost to Swansea and other clubs? If there is a stupid ref call in that match, we don't go around making threads about the call like you guys do almost all the time. And most of the time our fans get upset with Wenger and the squad. If you're gonna say something, atleast make sure that you know what you're saying please. :facepalm:
