Re: Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich(Clash of the Titans)
So you don't think Madrid can turn it up a notch then?
The fact of the matter is that Madrid can press high, very high and have done so on various occasions. Can Bayern's midfield/CB's handle being pressed and hassled? Because that is what it is going to come down to. Madrid are very solid down the middle, they have a strong "spine". I don't think Bayern have that, their strengths are all out wide aside from Neuer. It means Ramos and Pepe will be able to help out in dealing with Ribery and Robben, like Hummels did yesterday.
Of course Schweinsteiger and Gomez on his day may have something to say about that but Bastian has been struggling with injuries and Gomez relies a lot of Robbery for a large portion of his goals.

Play Kroos in the hole instead of Muller, provided Schweini is fit to play of course. Bayern's middle will be strong then.

Re: Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich(Clash of the Titans)
I think Badstuber will be able to get the ball to the fullbacks easily.
And there strengths are't all wide,Gomez,Schweinstiger,Kroos and Muller all play centrally. As we saw yesterday Ramos and Pepe aren't exactly great in the air, so they'll both need to do some tracking of Gomez.
Bayern is a very rigidly set team, very predictable, you know where their points of attack will be and each player on their team occupies a set zone.In that sense they will be easy to anticipate, but the quality they have makes them hard to stop.
I think Benzema will drag their defence forward as he comes deep to to link up with Ozil and Ronaldo will get an a couple easy runs behind their defense.
We can step it up, we can , and you're right it does come down to the distribution of the centre backs, so we'll see. Badstuber is reportedly good at distribution so we'll see lol.

"Golden Boy" Mueller should be dropped for this game.

Gomez is a worse header than you might assume :vagi: He's decent in the air, but no Klose or Luca Toni.

Robben missed a penalty and a sitter. Yes, he had 2 bad moments. But aside from that, he was Bayern's best and most dangerous players. He dribled, created, etc.
*and played Lew onside. As for the rest... you didn't even watch the match, how can you even comment on someone's performance? Robben had a nightmare game for the ages.
As for your complete dismissal of Dortmund because of their CL performances; It's probably been said to you before, but it was Dortmunds lack of finishing, as well as naïvity and nothing to lose attitude that got them kicked out of the CL.

from zonalmarking.net
A comparison of Gomez and Lewandowski's runs - even considering that Gomez played only 75 minutes, Lewandowski's runs are much more varied.
Shows Gomez weakness.

Re: Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich(Clash of the Titans)
Any team can press that hard, but the key is to not leave holes. Dortmund barelyleftany holes, which is whatmade it so perfect. Real leaves holes when they press that hard, hence why Barca scores 3 or more goalsagainst them every time theyplay. So if theytry to press Bayern as hard as Dortmund did, Bayerns gonna punish them by exploiting those manyholes they leave open. Dortmund only left a few holes open and Bayern exploited it every time, just their finishing was lacking thanks to Robben having a bad game and constantlybeing the one to get the chances. And Bayerns spine and Reals are on the same level. If you take into account that Bayerns Badstuber-Boateng-Neuer partnership has let in less goals this season than any other team in Europe besides Juve, then Bayerns spine is actually better. Both teams are gonna come out firing, and Bayern has more firepower in my opinion, and will come out of this tie victorious.

Messi, Xavi and Iniesta have nothing to do with that
I'm sorry if Madrid press and put Bayern on the back foot the advantage will be theirs.

I think Idrisozet has fully adapted his Badstuber persona.
His posting is hot and cold, just like Badstuber's form :vagi:

Re: Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich(Clash of the Titans)
Madrid are favorites because the German league as a whole is still massively underrated. Bayern are the better side though in my.opinion and I think theyll show that in this tie. Either way, to say one of these teams will "easily" defeat the other is nonsense. Still think Bayern will show their superiority and progress to the final, and eventually win that as well.

Re: Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich(Clash of the Titans)
Don't remind me about this game.
I get nervous thinking about it.
Not so much that it's bayern. But because it IS bayern.
Hence the formation that Mourinho is going to use is what's troubling me the most.
