Re: Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich(Clash of the Titans)
Marcelo would give Lahm headache and Robben Marcelo, we shall not forget Juaquin who terrorised Marcelo until he got subbed(not to mention Monetero).... better safe than sorry methink
hang on a sec, atm i am less worried about Marcelo than i am about Arbeloa that guy is in a pretty big dip in form, hope his non-selection for todays game left him to reflects on his shocking form
the things i am worried about:
1) crosses/corners/freekicks- it seems we cant handle those at all eventho we have pretty tall players in the box
2)long shots- Iker is usally blocked or too far away from his line
3) exposing of our highline, doesnt happen many times but when it happens we usually have no chance with it
4) one of our fullbacks fecking up
5) Khedira playing
things going for us:
1) our both wingers, especially DiMaria with his through balls, he couldnt have come any earlier
2) the fact that Ronaldo is so versatile with his contribution, can cross with both, can tap in, can head corners & can score long shots- his performance will be key imho
3) Benzema's tendency of scoring against any team especially in CL
4) Ozil terrorising goodstuber and boateng
5) our bench
i want to see this line up:
but lets see what Mou has in mind

BTW, the Madrid bench is what worries me most. Bayern's bench is virtually nonexistent and if there are suspensions, things can get ugly fast, while Madrid have no such problem whatsoever.

Well there are no suspension.
Rafinha, Tymo, Olic and Muller/Kroos are all good bench players.
Re: Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich(Clash of the Titans)
I think Heynckes and Mourinho could decide this one, the tactical battle is the most important in this game

Marcelo can defend better against left footed players.

Well, even though there was no suspension now, I fear things will look differently after the first leg against Real. And if Boateng, Kroos or Müller would be suspended for the 2nd leg, it wouldn't be good either.Idrisozet wrote:Well there are no suspension.rwo power wrote:BTW, the Madrid bench is what worries me most. Van Buyten will be back by then I really hope so, I really feel Boateng or Alaba will definitely get suspended but I am not sure if yellow cards are carried from Quarter final to semi final.
Guaranteed either Muller or Kroos will get suspended, Gustavo that's for sure, if he plays first leg.
But we can still manage with 1, 2 or even 3 suspension. But Boateng's suspension with Van Buyten still injured is suicidal, Lahm suspended for the 2nd leg will be hard to take.
Worst case scenario, we beat Madrid 2:1 in Germany but Boateng, Alaba, Lahm and Gustavo gets yellow card and Badstuber Red.
Lahm, Boateng, Badstuber, Alaba and Gustavo suspended.
We'll be left with Only Tymo as our CB and Contento and Rafinha as full back.
OMG Madrid will rape us.
Re: Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich(Clash of the Titans)
*nod* Indeed, that would be a frightening thought. Unfortunately, I think all cards are kept until the final. Correct me, if I'm wrong (I'd definitely hope that I'm wrong )

It's official
Bayern vs Madrid is happening.
To me, this could be the game of the year. It has the potential.

Bayern will get smashed. Hope they win, but I can't see it happen with that weak team.

Prehaps Mou will do a 3 man midfield of Alonso, Khedira & Sahin in AA with CR, Özil & Di Maria/Benz upfront
just a guess

Robben, Kroos, Ribery and Gomez supported by Schweini?
That is not weak. Madrid will have a nightmare in defense.

Free, you and I both know despite your provincial differences with Espana, that you would like Madrid to win.
Will you admit it?

What is weak about that team? I'd give the slight edge to Madrid due to Mou and bench depth, but that posted primary starting XI pisses gasoline.
Can you point out what's "weak" about that team? Hell, can you even point out a single "weak" player in that team? Yes, Boateng might play a bit risky at the back every now and then, but so does Pepenbauer - wo really: what about that Bayern XI is weak?
I can see Bayern losing because of suspensions or because of Mou>Heynckes, but that Starting XI is at least at Reals level, at least.
