Juve line-up new Buffon deal

Gigi Buffon will sign a new contract with Juventus by the end of May, a report in Italy on Tuesday is suggesting.

The Italian international is currently only committed to the Old Lady until June 2013, but both parties want to extend their relationship.

According to Tuttosport, talks are imminent and a deal should be signed and sealed within the next nine weeks.

The former Parma ‘keeper, signed at a cost of £32m in 2001, will allegedly put pen to paper on a three-year agreement.

The 34-year-old, who currently earns €6m a season after tax, is set to accept a cut in salary in exchange for new terms.
