[Champions League] Barcelona vs AC Milan
Thiago Silva will not play in this match I'm hearing as he got injured vs Roma 10 minutes in.
Predictions, line-ups discussion etc.
I'd like to see this line-up:
---------------------Valdes
Alves------Pique------Mascherano-----Puyol
------------------Busquets
-----------Xavi--------------Cesc
Alexis-------------Messi---------------Iniesta

Re: [Champions League] Barcelona vs AC Milan
we should definitely stick to 4 man defense, keep the ball, convert the chances (iniesta i'm looking at you :p ) and pay attention to set pieces. there's always the second leg but i'm possitive we can shock them

I hate Puyol at leftback, he is so jittery and unsure.
Luckily, they dont have anyone who exploits that area so that wont be a problem and having him will be good for set piece defending.

Is Thiago Silva really out? I dont think thats set in stone is it? And arent Abate and Nest making it back in time?

Re: [Champions League] Barcelona vs AC Milan
idk, according to some sources TS was walking on sticks ,i thought Nesta was supposed to play today but he didnt.the commentator in the match i was watching said Abate was sure to miss the Barca match.Antonini also got injured out of nowhere, which means we will play mesbah who is terrible and also Zambrotta,I hope at least Nesta makes it

I'll take it. We can play their best in the second leg when we have a nice cushion against mesbah and co.

It sucks how unlucky we have been this season with injuries. Messi is going to have a field day playing against Mesbah, Zambrotta and Bonera lol.
Hopefully we can give you guys a run for your money...

I think wit Abate out we should put Tello on to exploit that area becaue Iniesta as an attacker is and we miss a lot of what he does for the team,Fabregas should come on in the last 20-25 minutes because I think his effect when coming off the bench is great and Pep hasn't used that a lot this season(Only Porto and Osasuna games come to mind).
With most of their defense out I think this is a great chance for us to get some valuable away goals,I would be happy with a 2-2 or a 3-3 although hoping for a win

Re: [Champions League] Barcelona vs AC Milan
No it is in San Siro.
Experience is a great weapon when playing against Barcelona so having players like Nesta and Seedorf fit to play will be important. I think AC Milan have certain players who are not classy enough to play for a top Serie A team. For example I'm not really sold on Emanuelson and Mesbah is just plain awful. I remember someone saying has the turning speed of a steamboat!
PS: Is Mexès playing?

I will be happy with a high level draw, but I think we can own them if our away CL form is anything to go by

Please no Cesc Fabregas.
Play Busquets-Xavi-Iniesta in midfield and Alexis-Messi-Cuenca upfront.
I am confident about the game. Our form has steadily improved and Messi is hitting peak form.

Re: [Champions League] Barcelona vs AC Milan
Hopefully Cesc can come on in the last 20-30 minutes of the game. He really will make the difference imo. Should see a good game though I don't think we will be that tested tbh, with the injuries concerns and half fit coming back from injury players. Should be something like 3-1 or even more goals

Re: [Champions League] Barcelona vs AC Milan
Yep, Alex's line up sounds the best to me.
Cesc, Pedro, Thiago, Keita and Tello are fantastic options off the bench and each of them can provide something unique so whatever the situation we can do something.
Cuenca and his low crossing from wide could give them problems aswell as Alexis ability to get in behind which is even more of a threat away from home.
I could easily see another Xavi goal.

I am not 100% sure about Milan injury situation, so Milan fan can update my list and correct mistakes.

I am 99% sure he will start and it will likely be four midfielders together as it has been for some time. Thankfully at least it will not be a three man defense or so I hope.

Hope so to, AC Milan are pretty viscous if i can put it into words, This is one team that has brilliant shooters from outside the box, Defensive midfield holding them well will be vital.

I cant seem to remember TWO matches in a row where Iniesta was not Magical, along with a beastly Messi and Fresh Xavi, Milan is missing a lot of big names here also. Lets get it over and done with already !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wheres that beeeer....

Re: [Champions League] Barcelona vs AC Milan
Barca should win this no problem. Too many injuries for Milan. Ibra can't do it alone and their midfield is just not good enought to compete with xaviesta.
