Damiao snubs Juve for Napoli


Brazilian talent Leandro Damiao admits he’d “love to play in Serie A,” but warns Juventus he would prefer to join Napoli.

The Internacional striker has been heavily linked with Juve in recent months and told the Corriere dello Sport he’s looking forward to playing in Italy.

“Serie A is a League that I really like and I’d love to play in it,” said Damiao.

“I’d especially be happy to come to Italy because my two favourite centre-forwards in the world play there: Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani.

“Napoli play very entertaining football and I really appreciate the way Walter Mazzarri’s team approaches the sport. It would be spectacular to partner Cavani.

“I am convinced Milan will win the Scudetto. Inter? They’re going through a tough time, but I’m sure next season they’ll be fighting for the title again.”


What a Brazilian bleeeep. He sure hurt my feelings there although he dosent say he prefers Napoli this sounds like it could be true.

I think he will be great based solely on the hype i heard, i just think a Brazilian with his characteristics must be something else.

he was just an ignorant kid when juve were successful. looks like for him only milan and inter are top teams

So hes a **** just because he prefers Napoli to Juve? Whats wrong with that? Hell, Id prefer to play with Cavani too rather than any of the forwards in our team (now that ADP is leaving). He can be part of one of the worlds best forward lines in Napoli (Lavezzi, Cavani, Damiao and Hamsik - is DEF a fearful lineup). so IF he actually did say this - then I think he is perfectly within his right to. Plus I predict Napoli to be top 3 next season if they play to their potential with Mazarri.

And he said hes convinced Milan will win the scudetto -> therefore hes on drugs?? I too think Milan will win the scudetto - does that make me not a Juve fan? does that mean IM on drugs??

pfft..Honestly - some people need to get a hold of themselves and have a reality check. Having an opinion that doesnt favour Juve is not a crime and does not make you a Juve-hater.
