Who will get 3rd place ?
Re: Serie A - Race for 3rd
So Lazio vs Napoli next week.
If Lazio win i will have to say that they are favorites for the 3rd spot.So thats a huge 6 pointer if you can call it from Lazio's perspective.
Roma this season have been way to inconsistent for me to really think that they would pull off a third place finish. That team is still under construction.
Personally i'm hoping to see Napoli in the cl again.

Re: Serie A - Race for 3rd
after qualifying for UCL Catania president will sell the whole squad for sake of few extra millions and will fill the void by some brand new Argentinian mediocre s

So wins for Roma and Inter.Totti scoring his 212 goal in Serie A in a 3-1 win against Udinese.
Atalanta shock Napoli by pulling of a 3-1 win in Naples
Lazio burned by ADP

I voted Napoli, but watched Inter at Udine and it looks like they wake up.
Result:
1. Milan
2. Juventus
3. Inter

Inter getting 3rd will be better for Italy imho, I don't think Lazio or Roma will be tough competition in the CL, maybe Napoli.

If Inter wins the derby they probably will finish third, team between third and seventh place lately are way too incosistent bar Inter since they fired Ranieri and got Stramaccioni

Then they probably will not finish third. Other teams have to lose for that, Milan won't lose derby.

Roma could be out of contention should they lose. As much as I wish it wasn't so, Cavani >> Roma for me, although I like Roma more than Napoli, I'm rooting for Napoli!!!!

3-6th place all at 55 points right now. The 3rd spot is within everyone's reach.

I'm still *bleep* fuming over that Fiorentina game.
We could easily have been in the race till the last day.

Both are an amazing team, if either of them win before the derby Inter will have nothing to play for as they'll be out of the race for 3rd :mental:

Re: Serie A - Race for 3rd
Udinese are to face Genoa at home and Catania away, whilst Napoli face a trip to Bologna then play Siena at home, both of which constitute tricky draws, even the Genoa game given that they remain under the threat of relegation and have a new coach.
I'd love Napoli to qualify both personally and for the sake of the co-efficient. There's nothing like continuity and consecutive European qualifications would mean the world to Napoli and their ability to build upon their existing squad rather than seeing it dispersed amongst the giants.

aww, but I was salivating over the prospect of Milan engulfing a tasty slice of that Neapolitan pizza...dostoevsky wrote:Udinese are to face Genoa at home and Catania away, whilst Napoli face a trip to Bologna then play Siena at home, both of which constitute tricky draws, even the Genoa game given that they remain under the threat of relegation and have a new coach.

Napoli WTF ?
Udinese have it all they need is a win away at Catania next week which i see them getting.
So Serie A will have 2 teams in the Champions league next season.

Are you kidding me? Udinese can go all the way to the quarter or even the semifinals, they have quite the impressive team.

Re: Serie A - Race for 3rd
For the good of your coefficients... either Napoli or Udinese need to qualify for the CL. I'd go for Napoli because they bit by bit have opened up their bench, plus they have previous season's experience.
Also, they don't have that "sell half my squad" syndrome and are actively trying to keep their best players.

If you actually watched the Arsenal - Udinese games you would be saying that.
