Sources in Italy suggested Roberto Di Matteo, the early bookmakers' favourite, is reluctant to take on such a high-risk opening. Not surprising. They've gone through almost as many managers in the last several years as we have.

I don't think he's done enough. A Championship club would make sense to me. Although I could see Fulham, Cardiff or Norwich be interested in him.

Ah yes, that. When he came out with the quotes a few months ago regarding his feelings on his Chelsea tenure, I believe it was, he mentioned that he's still receiving weekly cheques from the Russian (though obviously not in those exact words Laughing

) and is in no rush to take on a new job and thought, good for
