Messi is awesome

I decided to live for a year in china. Just came here two weeks ago and he has been basically generating welcomes for me without even trying. Everybody that hears where I come from immediately smiles and tells me his name. And then they would speak for quite a long time about how great he is. Everybody loves that despite him not being very big he is a top notch athlete and they all love his personality.

people in china simle and welcome you for every little things.... all i needed to tell them that i knew chinese and i was from Pakistan and they would take be to side....really comes in handy while shopping you can get 10X cheaper things then normal while other foreigners mainly Americans are getting ripped off....

it was all CR and Beckham not too long ago...

That good to know Nirgall. Chinese love to watch sports and basketball is the biggest I think, but football also is big, and hence Messi fame. We appreciate personality as well so ppl like Messi obviously is a big star Afro

Btw, lots of Chinese girls like foreigners so u should do well in that area too while ur here eco smile

I've noticed I've been living in Guangxi normal university in guilin and bascketball here is huge. Everybody plays it and many people have really good techniche (sadly I'm terrible at it)

Hey are you native from china or are you living there as a foreigner too? Any recomendations about food, places to visit or ways to behave?

Lol Im pretty much Chinese native so not sure what kind of advice I can give u. And Guangxi is far from where I know, Im in Guangdong Razz

Basketball is huge yes.

Guilin has beautiful scenery and I havent even been there so u enjoy that, same goes with the food. Ways to behave? I dont know, obviously learn some Mandarin, and try to chat with the girls, they like intelligence and humour. Ur knowledge from abroad is already an advantage Cool

It's really a beautiful city. I'm been finding the food a bit too spicy though, and my mandarin is not very good but improving hopefully in couple of months i'd be able to communicate.
