Yossi Benayoun
Should we buy him?
I really think he is a good squad player and I would not mind signing him.

Re: Yossi Benayoun
Prefer extending his loan rather than a permanent deal. Chaps getting old, no guarantee that he'd perform the same way the next game that he plays.

Re: Yossi Benayoun
I like the loan option unless we can get him for almost nothing and he would take a 1 year contract.

Re: Yossi Benayoun
Don't mind him but as Sri said he's getting in on the years and we should reinforce that area with younger and better talent. He's a fine squad player though and I'm glad we signed him this year but there should be no excuse for having to settle for just him as a midfield signing this summer.

Re: Yossi Benayoun
I say he's worth keeping on a short-term contract. As was mentioned earlier, he is a good squad player. Plays harder than many of the younger guys we sometimes field. Doesn't make as many ugly mistakes.
Agreed, though, that if Wenger/the board think permanently keeping him as opposed to making a REAL signing comes up, I'll be angry.

Really love his style but he's on 60k wage now. Unless he's willing to lower by significant amount, I say let him go. That's too much for back up even experienced one.

Re: Yossi Benayoun
Depends on the situation..
It will not be good to keep Arshavin, Rosicky and Benayoun together.. We have Arteta too nearing 30..
So it will reduce the time for our youth.. And whats Arsenal without youth..
So i think we should keep Rosicky.. And release Benayoun...

Re: Yossi Benayoun
For me, getting rid of Benayoun but keeping dead weight like Arshavin, Diaby, Djourou, etc. etc. is a major waste. But I do see your point.

He should join Spurs. Be the most loved man in London, and well... the Yids fit him.

Good squad player, with decent set of skills. Would be perfect for small games where they may need a experienced head amongst the youngsters for the next season.
But, like the others said, only if he decreases his wages, 60k? Bloody hell~

I think we should let him go. We need to get a younger midfielder to fill in his role but i would not mind seeing him on loan next season.
He himself said he will now have to settle for mid table clubs.

Agree ^
I'd take him back on loan if he were to take a reduced role (his role is already pretty minimal anyway)

Should keep this guy, a one year contract or a loan deal as long as he doesn't mind the bench
