Horror stats for Chelsea's Torres
The stats for Chelsea striker Fernando Torres read like a horror show. The £50million misfit, 27, now has more yellow cards than goals this season and failed to grab his opportunity when Didier Drogba was at the African Nations Cup last month. Torres has played 1,324 minutes of football for club and country since he scored against Genk. He was hauled off at half-time against Birmingham last weekend and was left on the bench throughout the midweek Champions League defeat at Napoli. Torres was dropped by Spain coach Vicente del Bosque.

Not even Pool fans want him back at our club now. Unless he comes free and his salary is low, I wouldn't take him back at Pool.

I'd take him back actually. Obviously the price would have to be right.

Torres isn't the problem...Chelsea is the problem
Torres is struggling for form, sure...but not more than any other striker out there who gets 0 service...
Chelsea keeps playing like Drogba is playing up front...Drogba and Torres aren't at all the same player, and yet Chelsea has not seemed to really have altered the buildup play or approach at all.....clearly thats a problem

0 service are you kidding me right now?
Mata, Ramires, Lampard, Luiz and Terry have all had less shots per game than Torres yet have managed to score more than him.
That's just using Chelsea alone as an example.
He's terrible end of.

Aye, because its easy to go from world class to "terrible end of" - people just forget how to play the game....makes total sense
also >>>>> implying that shots per game indicate service

Re: Horror stats for Chelsea's Torres
in his best days at liverpool i thought torres was great. but towards the end i noticed he had a pretty poor attitude. sneijder-esque... throwing his arms up in the air and acting like a diva when things didn't go his way (even if he was the one who messed up). i felt he wouldn't succeed at chelsea based on that and it happened. chelsea aren't perfect but they aren't crap. torres has been crap
there's a chance he might regain his past ability. but if i had the choice i'd only pay 10m tops to have him at inter. and even then i'd know it was a huge gamble

Re: Horror stats for Chelsea's Torres
League stats are more fair...... that way Torres cant pad his stats against 2nd division teams......
Torres: 2 goals in 24 games
Balotelli: 11 goals in 18 games
Dzeko: 13 in 22 games
Suarez 7 goals in 25 games
All for the lovely round sum of around 125 million meanwhile........
Cisse: 5 in 6 games
Ba: 16 in 26 games
For the combined price of 9m
