Stoke got it as City won the cup, The semi finalist gets it then. If both the finalists are CL boys, then a slot in the league opens up.
Yes, Cardiff will get Europe only if we get 4th spot, which is difficult but not impossible.
Cardiff will need special permission for the Uefa cup spot to represent England if they win the cup though.

Re: Liverpool vs Cardiff
Our cup finals in the last decade
CC 2001: 1-1 vs Brum, won in penalties
FA 2001: 2-1 win over Arsenal, was losing 1-0 until 80th min
Uefa Cup 2001: 5-4 vs Alavez
CC 2003: 2-0 over Mancs (the only one that was easy)
CL 2005: 3-3, won in pens, came back from 3-0 down
FA 2006: 3-3, won in pens, 93rd min equalizer.
We never do it easy...I fully expect a lot of heart in my mouth moments

Cardiff will only get Europe if they win the Carling Cup. It's only in the FA Cup that the runners-up get Europe if certain criteria is met.
If Liverpool win the cup and finish 4th or 5th, then the team in 6th qualifies.

Re: Liverpool vs Cardiff
Considering Liverpool will finish outside the top 6 i find it all irrelevant plus Cardiff represent the Welsh FA so they get no european spot anyway.

I guess Sepizky's point was that when we win, we tend to do it the hard way.
Not this time, though.

Success breeds success. Liverpool should really go for the win.
(haters gonna hate but Alaves should have won in 2001)

Stop talking rubbish.
Gerrard and Reina are the only players on more than 100K at Liverpool.
Henderson is on 50K
