Very good team. Not sure who is playing where but possibly an Ozil RW job.

Re: Cardiff vs Arsenal
Not a good 1st half tbh, for some reason our attack shape is all over the place w/o someone dedicated and stick to the right with Bellerin like Mhki, Aubu was invisible not sure whats up with him, his touch was really heavy. Our defense once again was suspected against one of the worst attacking side in the league.

Re: Cardiff vs Arsenal
Outscoring our opposition is basically going to be the name of the game until we decide to defend better as a team and/or acquire better defensive players.

Re: Cardiff vs Arsenal
- After all the hype died down, Im willing to try Xhakha + Torreira in place of Guendozi, kid needs time to develop physically, he got bullied quite a bit with physical and fast players.
- I’m loving our attack, we were never stuck in all four games unlike Wengers team sometimes. We got power, speed and cunning in our front 2, gotta play them more.
- defense is still a problem, i dont see how we ca fix it, maybe Torreira could mask some of it.

Re: Cardiff vs Arsenal
For somebody who is supposed to be a good passer, XHAKA sure does give the ball away in bad areas a lot. He's good at breaking lines but the downside with him is too big at the moment to justify starting him. He's a poor tackler, doesn't have great positioning and gives away stupid fouls. I lost my mind when he handled the ball in the 93rd minute and gave Cardiff a free-kick - you know, those things they'd been threatening with all game.
Besides him, our biggest issue was defending crosses. We didn't close down the crosser whenever the ball went wide and allowed good balls to come in. Cardiff score most of their goals from these types of situations and I'm surprised we didn't have a plan in mind to counter it. Both full back were poor on their first goal. First Bellerin not getting out to the crosser soon enough, and then Monreal being draw into the centre so he couldn't get close to Camarasa.
Meanwhile, I thought Mustafi and Sokratis were relatively decent. Cardiff's direct style suited them better.
The quality in our attack showed, in the end. I think the balance looks a bit off with Ozil on the flank but I feel it's essential to have him, Auba and Laca on the same pitch if we're going to have any success.

Re: Cardiff vs Arsenal
I think the crossing thing is also down to Emery’s style, our defence always looks too narrow so far this season so I think it’s an Emery adjustment. Maybe we’ll reap the benefits later this season but in the Premier League especially dangerous crosses can be a deadly weapon for many teams.
We did end up outscoring the opponent which is what we are going to have to do this season as our defence can’t win us games. Can’t complain.

Easily our best midfielder.
Needs to start starting, don't care who its next to as long as he starts.

Re: Cardiff vs Arsenal
Torriera is good in reading the game, always at the right place to intercept a pass and most importantly unlike XHAKA he presents himself to get the ball from the centre back when we try to play from the back.
