Can we respect Giggs?

This is probably old news to many, but I only just realised the extend of it. So Giggs did admit to havign an affair with his BROTHER's WIFE, for 8 YEARS?!?! When did this news break out? I think I skimmed the headline b4 but never paid attention to it much...
I never liked Man U players, but recently hes really earned respect all round, since hes still at it at his age. And probably one of the better Man U players there is, both ability and behaviour (on the pitch anyway
)...
But even if I respect him as a footballer, it completely lessens to know he does such things, among others...
Its really a shame, so many UK football or maybe footballers in general, are treated like gods, and women jump all over them as well, they become immoral and do anything they want!

Also, what about his brother's wife? Of course, she is innocent, it's all Giggs' fault 
I don't regard him highly off the pitch but he didn't rape someone, have an affair with an underage or kill someone
Everything he did caused damage to himself and his family, to no one else...As far as football goes, he is a Manu legend without a question

When it came out at first it didn't really interest me or change my opinion of him.
But I read a article a wile back from his brothers side of things. And it paints Giggs in a totally different light and made me loose all respect for him.
Hes as bad as Terry in my opinion.

respect him both off the pitch and on the pitch , for years.. gave him raul and iker like respect at that
suffice to say, lost a lot of it after the news of the affair broke out.. then recently read his brothers' version.. poor guy was really heartbroken from his words.. cant respect him at all after that ..
