As for Barbara and Patogol, this pretty much further cements that the latter will stay in Milan for many years to come.

then you guys should get rid of Ibrahimovic quick, not that i think it will happen.

you are still stuck using Carlo's formation, and i dont think it's meant for a focal point in attack like Ibra.

Carlo designed it to let Sheva, Kaka and co run free in attack, just like he is doing with PSG right now. It's meant for quick and swift attacking movements, mobility. Not a single player dominating all movements in attack.

Top tactician will engineer traps to stop you, just like it's been the case for Ibra in CL for all his career actually.

Carletto used a 4-3-2-1 as this was different and more liberally used considering we had the players and the mobility to utilize the system.

But with the aged and painfully average midfield of now, we use a 4-3-1-2/4-1-2-1-2

Ibra has a different and more creative role this time around for Milan as he plays somewhat of a number 10 role for us as its a large misconception that much of the attack runs through him as he is only a creative fulcrum and crux of the front flank and also deployed to play the ball more and more to Cassano/Robinho/Pato's feet in order to compensate for our midfield. Lets not forget his goalscoring yet its clear by his positioning and decisions that he has less of a goalscoring role and more for what has been mentioned above. That burden is more upon Pato or Robinho but even then our front flank is designed for a dynamic and unpredictable play that allows quick integration based on positioning and optimizing on decisions within the box.

Which is why our team when fit and in form remains composed and decisive when played up front as the team has somewhat adapted to the midfield deficiencies, along with the fact that Allegri has done well to implement the front flank system, once again for compensation of the midfield.

Ibra's only fault is his lack of movement as without him Milan look more fluid and freely dynamic up front. But the dilemma is that he is so composed and decisive with his key passing and vision that he is almost invaluable and has proven to be our best player.

His pros easily outweigh his cons.

Ibra in the CL? He did well in the CL with Barca did he not?

Inter was the same case except that he did not have any other forwards to play the ball onto him and Juve he played winger most of the time.

For Milan he has the forwards named along with that he has been relatively good for us in the CL.

If your thinking Tottenham he was one of our best players in the first leg and had even a wrongly disallowed goal in the 90th minute, while the 2nd leg he created many chances but only for Robinho to miss them TWICE.

Also, difference is Milan have proven that we don't rely on him especially by the matches played without him and that he isn't hoofed to anymore like he was in the first 2 months of last season.

Point being, Milan need to seriously augment their midfield for dozens of reasons.
