Viviano wants Roma
Emiliano Viviano admits he would be interested in joining Roma, but both Bologna and Inter will need to solve his co-ownership deal first.
The 25-year-old Italian international, is currently playing for the Emiliani, but he is jointly owned by Inter.
However, he is keen for switching to the Giallorossi.
"It's true that I have had contact with Roma and I have always said I would like to move there," the goalkeeper told Il Corriere dello Sport.
Roma have been linked with his services as Walter Sabatini is looking for a top goalkeeper as a replacement for Alexander Doni and Julio Sergio, whose futures in the capital are uncertain.
Viviano's deal expires at the end of the month, and if the joint ownership is not resolved, a blind auction will take place.
A blind auction is when the two clubs who both own a 50 per cent stake in the player put their bids for the remaining share in an envelope.
Whichever club bids the most will buy the player in question, in this case Viviano. The Italian recently said he would not head back to Inter as a second choice to Julio Cesar.
Viviano is a great goalkeeper, would be awesome for Roma if he moves though Inter might complicate things.

Well we won't really know where we stand with him until Inter and Bologna either hash our their differences before or after the blind auction...
If Inter win then we may have a chance as they are going to be unwilling to give up an experienced and tested keeper like Julio Cesar for a more inexperienced replacement.
If Bologna win, they'll sell him if we throw enough cash or youth players at them. Don't really think we should be doing the latter.

Re: Viviano wants Roma
I've watched Bologna a few times this past season and i must say Viviano doens't look anything special the only game that he really impressed me was in the first round in the match against Inter...Against us he wasn't great. He get lobbed from the halfway line against Chievo and made a big howler against Napoli...
I'd much prefer if we went for Stekelenburg who would only cost us around 8-10 million...

He definitely doesn't want to go to Inter. They already have Julio Cesar, so I'm sure personal terms take priority.

I would take Sirigu over Viviano, but the rumours surrounding a Sirigu switch to us have faded away. I'm not sold on Viviano, would much prefer keeping Julio Sergio.

And Canadian class lol.
Seriously though, I think any hopes that the English had of finding getting a half-decent keeper in the future just shattered in that very moment. They just can't catch a break in goal lol.

If Lotito wants him enough, they can afford him, trust me. Lazio always pull those shock moves!

Inter and Bologna haven't been able to reach an agreement for the keeper. Bologna's asking price has been around 8 million, while Inter are offering around 4.5 million. Therefore, a blind auction will be held to decide who gets the remaining 50% of the keeper's rights.
