If De Rossi is fit him instead of Gago obviously.Heinze must return to starting 11 I don't want to see Kjaer for a while after that performance against Cagliari.I was thinking of maybe putting Perrotta at RB ahead of Rosi but opted for Rosi because he offers us more in attack than Simone.

Re: AS Roma - Inter Milan
You should deceive us
Our flat static 442 is sh*t compared to the lineup you put out there...Our defense is definitely surperior to yours as lined up in that picture, but you're midfield and attack are far more dynamic than ours
But then again, Cro did make Milito score 4 goals today

Re: AS Roma - Inter Milan
Dunno, Bhends....that superior backline got destroyed by Miccoli yesterday.
We might be looking at another open-ended game here....a far cry from the cagey one back in the fall.
We're lucky that Inter no longer use the counter attacking system that Mourinho employed or this game would probably be over before it even began.
Since that's not the case however. I believe we'll get something out of this match.

Re: AS Roma - Inter Milan
Serie A move weekend kick-offs?
By Football Italia staff
The Lega Serie A are reportedly considering moving all the weekend’s fixtures to mid-afternoon in an attempt to avoid postponements.
The midweek round was hit by four postponements as heavy snowfall and below freezing temperatures hit the north of the country.
Siena, Bologna and Parma’s stadiums were closed due to safety concerns, whilst the conditions also got the better of Atalanta’s attempts to host Genoa.
More snow and even colder temperatures anticipated in parts of the country at the weekend, prompting Milan’s Vice-President Adriano Galliani to request to the League’s President Maurizio Beretta that their Sunday evening fixture with Napoli be rearranged.
Reports in Italy are suggesting that Beretta is considering sanctioning that all the weekend’s Serie A fixtures are moved to 3pm Italian time kick-offs on both the Saturday and Sunday.
Players’ Association (AIC) chief Damiano Tommasi specifically backed Galliani’s request to cancel the game at San Siro, where predictions have the temperature as no higher than eight below zero.
“If the forecasts are correct then it is better not to play that [Milan-Napoli] game. It would be advisable with the foresight of the weather predictions to avoid calling it off when everyone is at the stadium.
“The fixture schedule is very busy and inconveniences are always the same. We have never addressed this issue in an effective manner and according to me, spreading the games from August to June would at least limit the damage.
“[The players] are the last to be consulted and it is wrong to accuse us [of wanting to call off games].”
Well *bleep* this anyways I was looking forward to watching this on TV.

It will be hard game for sure, I see Ranieri making the bunker again their defense is slow you need fast player and you really miss osvaldo.

I won't be surprised if we lose this match in all honesty,Ranieri always pwns us he did it so many times with an average Juve side a few season's back and I see it continuing, even with this shaky Inter side.

Re: AS Roma - Inter Milan
Yea, we definitely can't afford to underestimate Inter in any way. Ranieri's not an idiot, he'll know how to set up his side to stop us. That being said, if we hit them early like we did against Juve in the league, we would have a good chance at grabbing full points.
In the event that De Rossi is fit, I would keep Gago on the bench. Despite the fact that I think he's one of our better midfielders, having De Rossi, Gago and Pjanic together would limit our movement. None of those three play that box-to-box role, whereas Simplicio, Perrotta and Greco do. The latter three never hesitate from making those runs forward into the opposing area ready to pounce on any goalscoring chance that comes their way. We desperately need that (which is what I'm hoping Marquinho will bring when he plays).

Re: AS Roma - Inter Milan
when should Marquinho debut? and I don't know I usually really find Perrotta/Greco/Simplicio generally lacking.. I like the Pjanic DDR Gago trio 'cause Gago is freer to go up and create with De Rossi taking the infrontofthedefence role..

Yeah Arigle, i like the DDR - GAGO - PJANIC trio too. In my opinion they should start.
And I was wondering, when is gonna Marquinho be available? Hope soon
I see a 2-1 win for us here ..

Re: AS Roma - Inter Milan
And I agree that De Rossi, Gago and Pjanic are our best midfielders, no doubt about it. But in this system that we're playing, they'll be far too static. The only way we could "verticalize" (an Italian term, not sure if it's the same in English), is by having players like Perrotta or Simplicio in that midfield. They're not afraid of throwing themselves forward, to make those runs into open space that split apart opposing back lines and subsequently run back to defend. It makes our play much more dynamic because let's face it:
- Pjanic is great but he needs the ball at his feet to be effective (he's a natural trequartista and it shows).
- Gago is effective defensively but needs to play as a regista to contribute offensively for us, he doesn't have the same off the ball characteristics as the others I mentioned.
- And De Rossi could make some runs forward, but not to the same effect as the others because he doesn't do it instinctively.
That is why for next summer we need a midfielder capable of doing those things. We need a Nocerino-type player, even a Nainggolan (no idea why his name is one of the first that came up in my head).

^ Big surprise. Not as bad as here though, with Fox showing Palermo-Atalanta and The Score showing Juventus-Siena and only showing the Roma-Inter game with a two hour delay.

Re: AS Roma - Inter Milan
Midfielder Daniele De Rossi is set to make his comeback for Roma in Sunday’s big game with Inter.
The Italian international has been out of action for several weeks due to an injury and was not expected to be back for this match.
According to the latest reports from Rome, De Rossi took part in the full training session and is ready to start tomorrow afternoon.
The tie was originally set to be played on Saturday evening, but was put back due to heavy snow in the capital.
The kick-off is now at 14.00 UK time on Sunday at the Stadio Olimpico.
