Can any Newcastle fan, or anyone for that matter, tell me how Santon is doing and developing? Can't wait to see that guy back in the Italy squad

According to newcastle legend and expert Molisimo, Santon is on his way to becoming a better version of Maldini.

He's been great, added an attacking dimension to our play and being defensively solid the majority of the time.....

Struggled to break into the team at first due to others performing well and Santon dealing with injuries problems but now he's one of the first names on the team sheet.

If he continues like this it wont be long before he's called up to the Italy first team, finally showed why he's been so hyped to begin with.

He's been playing at LB btw.

What mole said basically.

He is living up to all the hype and really has been superb. Why? Since he couldn't be under the wing of Mourinho anymore, and mismanagement, injuries caused his confidence to shatter, he has now found a place under the leadership of Pardew who is known for his player development.

As for his versatility he is completely ambidextrous and can easily play for flanks similar to Zambrotta.

He doesn't play as RB as Simpson is there

A question for all, with the exception of Cannavaro and Rossi of late, how often does Italy call up players that play outside Italy?
