Malaga, and Pedro Leon would be a great pickup for them.

Re: Who will get bigger quicker?
malaga need to start signing better players very slowly... they have teeny tiny revenue, ffp would straight up frak them if they signed top players on big salaries
no way are they gonna be a new man city, they're going to improve slower than chelsea did when abramovich came...
edit: censorship, really? i would have thought that since we're not associated with goal.com that stuff would be gone...

They won't make Europe in the near future anyway. They probably don't care, like the Man City Sheik who doesn't even remember if he even had a football club.

Malaga are sure to grow well in the next few seasons. They have ambition, funds and an attractive project going. The weather is also a nice plus for potential players.

Re: Who will get bigger quicker?
Malaga will be a force in the coming years...they just need to buy some youngsters instead of, no disrespect, oldies like Van Gol, Baptista, etc.
pastore seems like a very good start

Re: Who will get bigger quicker?
I think you guys are selling Geta short. They are looking to build a solid foundation before splashing out. The Dubai group is very business savvy and I see them looking to invest in a solid manager before any big names. I know in an interview a few years ago one of the guys there said something along the lines of; When you look at the great clubs they all have great managers and long serving ones. That was when they were looking at Liverpool I think, I'm sure they will bring the same Idea to Geta...
Malaga will get big, of that there is little doubt but I'm not so sure about there investments quite yet.
ps. afaik "Team Dubai" is not happening anymore...

Building a solid foundation is good, but they still need to bring along better players quickly. Chelsea is probably the ideal situation for them, because fall on either side and it could be bad for them. Either end up as a City, or as a Blackburn.

True Chelsea is the "Model" sugar daddy club and that's what they all aim for. Maybe the pieces will come, the window has barely opened...

That won't be implemented until 2013/2014 I think.

Málaga, easily.
They have Rondón, man. Apart from already having a decent team, they are actually looking to strengthen it, unlike Getafe.

Rondon made me a fan early in the season, quite a good player he is.Sushi Master wrote:Málaga, easily.

When Malaga make it to Europe, he can say he was there from the beginning.

Also whats the deal with punishment for not falling in line with FFP? they aren't allowed to perform in europe, but for how long? because if it's just for like 3 years, they might keep doing it until they're stable and in the top 4, then stick around until they're allowed back in to it. It's not a big punishment if they're already not in the europe spots.

Re: Who will get bigger quicker?
Seasons end and I thought this would be good to bump.
Getafe did nothing but they are rumoured to invest end of this season heavily.
Malaga didn't do as well as many thought they would although they still may steal 4th and a UCL spot if they win on the final match day
Funny how much changes in a year.....

From
17 th
to 11th
and most likely 4th
Big improvement.
With CL they will attract even bigger players.

Re: Who will get bigger quicker?
tbh they did challenge for 3rd spot for a while(until they lost to Pathetico) and thats the most you couldve asked from them with all the grannies in their team
Hopefully they can make their team a bit younger and buy a GOOD striker to partner Rondon and stop playing Fernandez, the guy is one of the most selfish players ive ever witnessed
