Relax cules!
Liga is still very 50/50,
first of all the way i count it is 4 points difference, i really can see us taking every point of next Classico.
Madrid have been coming back from a goal deficit (sometimes 2 goals) alot, i can not see that working perfectly for the next 18 matches..
and you all have to put in mind we had a tougher first half of la liga schedule, while Madrid will have some intense away games, yes they have shown decent away form but im just putting it in perspective.
Now for our side of the story... maybe not that shiny with all the injuries and fatigue effected zombie like players, but at least we start slow with a sociedad at home. A keep rolling from there!!!!

As to why he is not scoring away from home,my opinion might be controversial.I dont think its a coincidence that Messi scored a hattrick against Malaga. The Prodigal Son doesnt play vs Malaga and he scores a hattrick. The Prodigal Son plays vs Villareal and Messi doesnt score.
Coincidence,I think not.
I kind of agree. We have seen before as well that another player playing in the center and moving towards the box is not ideal for Messi. He needs the midfielders to play behind him and the forwards to make runs either side of him. That way he can play his false number 9 role to perfection.

Just seen the first half of the game.
And I have to say very very interesting the way he started the game.
Pep Guardiola never ceases to amaze me.Got to give it to the man.
Again tweaked the formation.
The way I saw it,to start of it was a 3-2-2-3.
With Pique,Puyol and Abidal at the back.
Masch and Busquets in front of them.Xavi and Fabregas the 2 in front of them.
Messi flanked by Alves and Adriano the 3 in front.
I dont think I have seen this variant of the formation before. But as the half wore on Masch dropped back to form a 4 man backline.
Cesc Fabregas Clueless once more.

Yeah Alex, it was formation designed with Villarreals 4222 in mind and defensively it worked fairly well.
But to be honest it limited our attack too much.
Xavi couldnt influence the game like he wanted to.

Figured as much. But Pep was quick to change this time.Towards the end of the half Masch dropped back and it was a normal back 4.
Also at times we are a bit too quick to blame our team.Credit to Villareal.
I thought they played very well.Pressed like demons.

Its the same with some sides that play us, non stop pressuring the whole game, like Espanyol and Valencia do it a lot to us.... its interesting that they can keep it up for the whole match, whereas Real are known to tired after 30mins....
