If Maicon is injured , how should we line up? How WILL we line up?

Is Chivu injured or something? I haven't seen that guy in a while

Ok so I heard Maicon has a muscle strain and it could go either way whether he makes it or not in time for the derby. Regardless of whether he makes it to the derby or not, when Maicon is injured, how would you prefer us to line up our back four and how do you think we will line up our back four?

if Chivu is alive I think we would line him at LB unfortunately and throw Nagatomo at RB.... if not, I HOPE to see Faraoni play but I wouldn't be upset if he didn't, I'd be fine with Zanetti at a wing and a good CM playing.

i prefer seeing zanetti in the midfield, but i think ranieri will use him as a RB, although he has not been very confortable with it recently. getting sneijder back is relieving

I would like to see Faraoni in or Zanetti not Chivu... he's not a good left back and I think he would be our worst choice for rightback... I would rather see Cambiasso as rightback before Chivu...

nagatomo should stay as leftback... he has earned this...

tbh we dont play wide,so i wouldnt use Zanetti as a RB,using him in the midfield would be smarter

If Sneijder plays there will be no 4-4-2 cause Ranieri said he will use him exclusively in his own position.Either 4-4-1-1 or a diamond,with 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-2-1 being the unlikely options.

Will sneijder and Alvarez play at the same time? If not, will it affect Ricky's good form? That's my biggest concern

Chivu is being injured for now (which can be seen from a results of a few last matches). If Maicon isn't available, then Zanetti and Nagatomo are obvious choices for fullbacks.

As for a midfield, I think that Ranieri's formation will be 4-3-1-2. I hope that Poli would get a chance in a 3-man midfield with Thiago Motta and Cambiasso. Nevertheless, Ranieri is likely to play Stankovic ahead of Poli or Alvarez Sneijder plays as a treaquartista if he's fit and if he's not then Alvarez takes his place. If we play two offensive midfielders like Sneijder and Alvarez, it is probable that Inter gets badly overrun by Milan's midfield so that's why I would choose Poli over Alvarez into a 3-man midfield.

Pazzini and Milito are probably going to be in the starting line-up. I would like to see Forlan beside either one of those but his fitness after a injury is still a mystery so it might be better to use him as a substitute.

Yes, but he has played RB before... he can do it...

So why not start Zanetti RB and Nagatomo LB?

Not familiar with Nagatomo, but is he a attacking fb?

Nagatomo is a versatile RB. He attacks better than he defends, but he never gives up. And that's why most of us love him.

good question, but we've playing with one right sided attacking full back for the past 4-5 years so attacking from the left is not something we can do well

A) Nagatomo is naturally right footed
B) He gets caught upfield far too often...having a natural fullback who has a superb workrate (Faraoni) playing in front of him should help with that problem

impossible...pato is a better dribbler than messi, future ballon d'or, worth 50 millions
