The Suffering Saga part 2 ?
Barcelona want re-sign Oriol Romeu less than five months after allowing the midfielder to join Chelsea, according to Marca.
The Spain Under-21 international moved to Stamford Bridge in a deal worth €5 million but it was reported at the time that the Catalans retained the right to buy back the player for €10m at the end of the season, or for €15m in the summer of 2013.
Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas insisted earlier this week that no such agreement exists but it is reported otherwise, with Marca now claiming that Barca will enact their right to re-sign the player in June in order to fill the void left by the likely departure of Seydou Keita, who is being strongly linked with a move to Serie A.
Romeu made just one senior appearance during his time at Camp Nou but, after taking time to adjust to the Premier League, he has established himself as a key performer at the heart of Chelsea midfield of late.
Keita, meanwhile, has reportedly become increasingly frustrated by his failure to nail down a regular starting berth in the Barca side.

Meh, I doubt the kid would want to return to be Busquets sub, when he can secure starter position in Chelsea

Re: The Suffering Saga part 2 ?
Doesn't he currently play as central def for Chelsea? I guess Guardiola could have an advantage there, even though Biscuits and Mascherano can play down there without much hassle too.billy_gr wrote:Meh, I doubt the kid would want to return to be Busquets sub, when he can secure starter position in Chelsea

Re: The Suffering Saga part 2 ?
i reckon he should play at Chelsea for as long as possible you can see that the games that he has been getting have massively improved his confidence and experience
his defensive qualities in that position have surprised me quite a bit as well, he seems quite tenacious in the tackle and seems to rack up quite a few interceptions as well

My bad then. I think I saw him being utilized there in a recent match but I guess it might have been temporary.Omniscient wrote:Senor Penguin wrote:Doesn't he currently play as central def for Chelsea?billy_gr wrote:Meh, I doubt the kid would want to return to be Busquets sub, when he can secure starter position in Chelsea

People hardly understand me, the ideal was to post so as to make other people post.
I didn't have any opinion regarding the transfer so I thought if I said that, people will want to post, no offence to the poster

Re: The Suffering Saga part 2 ?
Romeu's return would be glorious. Btw AVB denied the buyback clause awhile back, well over a week ago.
Anyway, I'm glad barca are deciding to take advantage of the buyback clause to bring this gem of a player back home.

& Olic > RVP.
FACT.
Anyways Kroos has been the best mid-fielder in the world this seasonl 4 Assists & 2 goals & All Assists resulted in tap-ins or 1 on 1. That in 5 games in the CHL against City,Napoli,Villareal.
Kroos has been brilliant this season in Bundesliga. 2nd best Mid-fielder in the world after Silva,so far in the 2011-12 season.
