The Saddest Songs You Know

I realize that each person relates to music differently, and that a song may be considered sad by one person and happy by another, and I also realize that it's a bit of a depressing topic but I sometimes find that a song can be a beautiful melancholy, or just complete sadness, but the emotions it invokes are very strong that I end up loving the song. It's not always about the lyrics or the voice of the person singing, it might just be the background music or the slow rhythm that makes it sad. Anyway, here are some of the songs that make me feel sad :

most of you may not understand the lyrics for obvious reasons, but the tune which it is sung in is brilliant.. from movie border which is bout india pakistan war of 1971.. this is the song which laments the need for war, why people sow guns instead of wheat in their fields, refer to neighbours as our enemies, our brothers and vow not to fight again .. brings tears into your eyes

Thread is incomplete without Sarah Mclachlan. As much as I pretty much don't listen to her music at all, there is a reason she is the music and person behind all those sad commercials with kitties and puppies that are abused. One of the masters of sad music
