That means nothing. This would be a PR disaster for the club after the season we've had, and they wouldnt let him just blurt it out, if its true they will be working hard to try and work out a way of telling the fans without causing A LOT of unrest (most likely after the transfer window shuts)
tbh you remember at the start of the season they said he would be out for 2 weeks? there is no way they believed that. We just sold cesc and nasri, and we werent going to buy a big name player, so there was no way they were going to tell us wilshere would now be out for most of the season, so the scoundrels lied to the fans

Maradona you were right: Reputable 'Le Grove' has confirmed Wilshere suffered a set-back this week and will face a further 3 weeks out, at least.

If I looked at this formation before season I d be dissappointed, but Allegri seems to make players better than many coaches. Still hoping for that midfielder signing. And Merkel out for few weeks which is bad

Re: Arsenal
Honestly I think Milan or Juve can take on any team in EPL today. The Arab Premier League declined, while Serie A got out of the slump and improving.
Biggest problem v Arsenal will be wingers if we can close them down with super fullback duo aka Abate-MesBoss, than we kill like 70 percent of their game. The rest will rely upon how we deal with their creative mid. MVB and Nocerino will be huge factors in this game. Also, our team became more speedy than last year, so there shouldnt be many dangerous counters from Arsenal when its 5 v 2 players.

Re: Arsenal
OK, so this is our CL list, does anyone have a definitive list of who is likely to be in/out for the 1st leg?
Keepers: Abbiati, Amelia, Roma.
Defenders: Abate, Antonini, Bonera, De Sciglio, Mesbah, Mexes, Nesta, Thiago Silva, Yepes, Zambrotta.
Midfielders: Ambrosini, Aquilani, Boateng, Emanuelson, Merkel (lista B), Nocerino, Seedorf, Van Bommel.
Attackers: El Shaarawy, Ibrahimovic, Maxi Lopez, Pato, Robinho.
As far as I know...
FIT: Abbiati, Amelia, Roma, Abate, Antonini, Bonera, De Sciglio, Mesbah, Mexes, Thiago Silva, Zambrotta, Van Bommel, Emanuelson, Nocerino, Seedorf, Ambrosini, El Shaarawy, Ibrahimovic, Maxi Lopez, Robinho.
MAYBE: Nesta, Aquilani, Boateng, Pato.
UNLIKELY: Merkel.
DEFINITELY OUT: Yepes.
I don't know Arsenal's CL official squad, but Jenkinson, Frimpong, Wilshere, Diaby and Santos are all currently injured for them.

Correct, Flamini is not included, which is fair enough because he brings nothing unique to the midfield and hasn't played a game all season due to long-term injury.
Nes-T33 wrote:i prefer amelia over abiatti..abiatti has been meh for us this season imo
Really? This is an interesting opinion because I agree than Abbiati has been dodgy this season at times, but I'm not sure that Amelia is a worthy replacement.

Re: Arsenal
Amelia played very well against Udinese, he made some important saves. I'd prefer Zlatan and EL92 up top instead of Pato or Robinho for this game, he is in great form and I don't see why he shouldn't play. With prince being a doubt as well I'd maybe like to see us play a 4-3-3, we played like that at the end of the game vs Udinese and looked really good.

Yeah, Amelia was brilliant, but I have the fear that he could have one of his bad days if he plays in the CL. I'm being completely irrational though, in theory his good form should continue to the next game.
SES should definitely start... Maxi, SES and Ibra up front?
