Di Benedetto to quit Roma?
Sources close to patron Thomas Di Benedetto have denied shock reports he is ready to walk out on Roma.
The rumours began to spread from gossip website Dagospia today, claiming Di Benedetto will not be at the Stadio Olimpico for tonight’s Serie A match with Juventus.
According to Dagospia, American businessman Di Benedetto is frustrated by disagreements with the other investors and Italian bank UniCredit. "There is absolutely no problem with Di Benedetto," assured UniCredit sources.
He was further perplexed by the recent poor results and protests that saw fans wait for the Roma squad at the train station to complain after their 3-0 defeat to Fiorentina.
However, sources from within the Di Benedetto camp have rejected these reports. He also owns the Boston Red Sox and is in the group who bought out Liverpool.
Meanwhile, one of the four American investors who bought out Roma in the summer has outlined their plans.
“It’s our role to build up the team’s commercial business so it provides our football club the tools to compete consistently at the highest level while also developing a global media platform that allows our worldwide fan base to follow Roma in a highly engaged fashion,” James J Pallotta told the New York Times.
“The building blocks for success include enhancing the game-day experience for our fans — particularly making our existing stadium more family friendly — developing a deeply compelling digital presence, touring the team to the Americas and Asia so fans globally can experience the club first-hand, and ultimately building a new purpose-built stadium in Rome.”

Untrue, as Fenucci said. He went back to the U.S. for the funeral of Tacopina Sr. who passed away a few days ago.

Re: Di Benedetto to quit Roma?
Absolute rubbish. Uncle Tom has invested way too much in such a small amount of time to pack up and go home when the going gets tough.
We Yanks do not give up on projects that easily. Especially when there's potential for that project to be very successful.
