How to bring the Old Ronaldo Back?
He lost all his agility.
I was looking the other day at youtube vis of him playing with Manunited when he had twice the talent and agility of Messi. I was comparing his body now to back in the days, and you can see that he bulked up alot with Madrid. His shoulders are twice the size when he was with United for example.
Looking back at the movie Ronaldo tested to the limit, they explain to us that Ronaldo's calfs are considerably small in relation to his thighs and the rest of the body meaning that Ronaldo has improved his overall physique but at the expense of agility and speed.
This is why he dropped from God Mode to Titan Mode and now defenders like puyol and pique can catch up with him or track his trickeries.
If ronaldo wants to dethrone Messi from his title of the best player, then Ronaldo must stop taking those protein shakes he takes everyday, change his diet, and his workouts. He must go back to basics.
Ronaldo must work on his calf muscles. This is the only way to bring him back to his old glory days.

Seppuku wrote:This match reminded me a lot of the Supercup. Superior performance by R.M, could have scored 2-3 goals if they took their chances well (CR7 sucked). Barcelona took what little opportunities they had (what a fluky 2nd goal).
Lol at Madrid dominated!

The best players in the world
Don't you know? Ronaldo is only the 6th best player in the world now.
Messi, Gomez, Van Persie, Benzema and Adebayor ALL better than Ronaldo

Di Maria was consistently a threat, finding open spaces and getting into positions to score (had some people learned how to pass a ball...). Yes, he made mistakes but he was the second most threatening force in Madrid after Benzema, who was great.

What "Old Ronaldo" are you speaking of? In his life, he has played Barca 13 tiems and only scored 2 times, one of which was a PK.

Re: El Clasico Post Match Discussion Thread
Ozil wasn't bad. He didn't have the greatest game but he was alright.
Di Maria along Benzema was most threatening Madrid player. If he could learn to have a better final product then the scoreline would be different today.
Why are people saying Kaka was great? He was also just alright. He came in pretty much when Madrid had given up so... :/

Re: El Clasico Post Match Discussion Thread
Look at his calf muscles in this video (They're small), he can still improve his play by working out on them. He can increase his speed and jump (jump from static position as well which sucked in tested to the limit if you remember)

Re: El Clasico Post Match Discussion Thread
I hate to break it to you...he was never THAT guy your saying.
Consistently locked down by Cole in his Man Utd days...never played well in a big game other than Chelsea with Essien at rightback.
He just isnt as good against elite players/defenders as he is against the fodder of La Liga or PL.
He was better in his Man Utd days as an overall threat..but still not the guy your making out.

Re: El Clasico Post Match Discussion Thread
its not agility or skill he's lacking, he just doesnt bring his A game to big games, and no amount of agility can solve this problem as Zlatan can confirm

Misplaces one(maybe two...?) pass in el clasico
"Valdes passing is a joke"
Great logic there buddy!
I know he's misplaced passes before but that was quite a while ago so...don't bring those up.
When you pass as much as Valdes your going to screw up occasionally. Doesn't mean his passing is a joke LOL
