Is wondering why our tactics always get switched up against Barca?
We had a wonderful thing going for us.
It's momentum.
What like 15 games in? all won?

With what formation and what lineup?
(I understand some players were switched for certain games)

But that's what killed us.

My thought exactly.
I never thought Mou would do that.

It was an experiment that would have been nice had he been there for a longer time.
But he played as a RB for what like 2 games.

Mourinho's substitutions were equally bizarre.

You do know he took off Diarra because he had a booking? And knowing Diarra, he probably wasn't far off a second yellow card. Logic.

His only bad sub was taking off ADM instead of CR7... Our tactics were fine. We played well we just didn't take our chances.

Mou's subs were good. He is at no fault.

The fault is all on the players and their mentality. We were ahead. If we took our chances and held on, La Liga was basically wrapped up. But no.

Coentrao was a genius move by Mou, and the guy did amazing at RB. Sometimes I wonder if I am watching the same game as some of you people.

CR7 was clearly the one who should've been subbed off, but instead he subbed off Ozil first (another great performer).

Di Maria played like crap in the first half, and did more harm than good, overall. CR7 was largely invisible for most of the match, and didn't do anything productive apart from a disaster of a shot inside the box and a missed header that both Ramos and Pepe could've made better use of.

Like Saetablanca mentioned, Real Madrid have for some time now had a weak mentality against Barca, but if there's anyone who fails to perform against them when it matters, it's CR7. And don't tell me that he scored the decisive goal in CDR. How about the sitters that he wasted in this game, due to a lack of concentration. How about all of the sitters that he's wasted against Barcelona up until now?

Ronaldo is undoubtedly a great player, but if there's anything that would make me happy with regards to Real Madrid these days, it's to see an El Clásico without him in it. And no, this is not a knee-jerk reaction. If our best players don't perform against Barcelona, luck is the only thing that can save us from defeat, and for the past few seasons, luck has been on Barca's side. Sure, they have an awesome team, but they don't look that awesome when Real Madrid have momentum on their side. Until the day CR7 stops wasting possession and god-given opportunities, he'll always be our liability against Barcelona. Today, we had two wingers who did more harm than good, for the most part. In fact, I'll go as far as to say that CR7 cost us the game. And it's not the first time.

Coentrao played average at RB.
The biggest standouts were Lass and Benzema both had a superb game.

He allowed Fabregas to score the header but other than that he played well.
Alonso how ever didn't play as well as he should.

Coentrao struggled on the few occasions that Barca decided to test him. Other than that, he did well going forward and made a few good last-ditch tackles in the centre of our defence. Alonso did well, up until he received that yellow card. He got tackled on two occasions - Messi fouled him (ref was too cowardly to hand him a second yellow for that incident), Sanchez' blatant foul should've been a yellow, but it wasn't even deemed a foul.

Alves left a huge space behind him on several occasions, which CR7 failed to exploit, mostly due to wasteful possession, but also due to a lack of service. Kaka managed to make use of this space, but with no end result. Again.. what does CR7 provide for Real Madrid against Barca, in terms of performance? I've had my patience with him, and it's been 3 seasons now that he's failed to improve his mentality against them. Barca are his ghost, and it doesn't seem to me that it will change anytime soon. Would've loved to see how Callejon would perform against Barca.

Iniesta tearing Coentrao a new one towards the end must have been quite the experience for Blondie.

First half was great, everyone played well. Second half not so much....

Oh well on to the next one.

What do you expect Coentrao to do in the 88th minute of the game and we're behind with 2 goals? None of this would have happened if Cristiano had taken advantage of the momentum we had in the first half.

We paid 90 million for the guy, he wasted 3 freekicks into the wall, spurned 2 glorious chances for us (perhaps the biggest chances we had in the game!). He didn't get past anyone in the final third, he wasn't injured, wasn't even out of shape ... He was just absolutely dreadful. When people excuse his dreadful performances it really amuses me.

What's even funnier is that he's supposedly this ultra-confident guy who only gets better because of the "hate" ... And here we are. Another crucial match in which he chokes beyond belief and he could feel the entire Bernabeu  at him. All the hate in the world couldn't help him dribble past Alves or Puyol, let alone get the ball on target.
