I hate the bias

So i went over on Marca, and they had a piece about the players that will be called up to travel with the first team.

So i look at the list of youth called up, and naturally i see Jese, Pacheco and Pedro Mendes...

PEDRO *bleep* MENDES? are you kidding me? Kid is not getting a sniff at the first team with castilla and he gets called up to play with the first team?

What happened to the risk reward system of our youth team?

What the *bleep*? freaking portuguese bias. Kids be working real hard to get to play with the first team, and Mendes just does it because he is portuguese? Get the fu.ck outta here

Where is Alex who has been great this season? the fu.ck Mou?

There has to be a reason behind it

i honestly think he should start with Castilla, its not like we have seen anything bad from him, we shouldnt be too quick to judge
Mendes is probably better than Pablo Gil, who is like a traffic cone when it comes to defending, hopefully tomorrow will be a kick start to his career

I'm with Nick here, Mendes has barely played and he gets a call up? There are guys on the squad who have done more and have got nothing in way of call ups.

I hope he doesn't play tbh.

He has 6 appearances and 3 starts which is quite good for a new foreign player and lets be honest here he is certainly better than Pablo Gil etc etc and Nacho is injured hence if mou wants to choose a back up CB it will be obviously Mendez.

Alex?-No way alex will get minutes ahead of granero,altintop,sahin etc

lol he did nothing in all 6 of those appearances. He's getting called up because he's Mou's boy. If he gets special treatment then he should get extra scrutiny. It's only fair.

Varane and Albiol will get the full 90 minutes anyway.

I dont think Mourinho has a lot of control over the castilla, so maybe even though he's not playing that regularly, mourinho prefers him over the other kids.

Or maybe the kid is having a hard time adapting and he just called him in order to help him gain more confidence, help him adapt and improve, all that stuff.

But it's probabbly just bias.

Mou was never going to be the ideal person to amp up our Castilla outings

I don't want to be harsh on Jose because he's using Castilla a lot more then coaches in the recent past so I'm more or less happy with him in that regard.

I just don't think it's fair that this Mendes kid gets a call up despite not even being a regular starter. It puts forward the wrong image and it'll make him unpopular with the Castilla squad too.

Alex and Morata not in the squad?

There are loads of midfielders who need minutes on the squad if Alex is going to play it'll be in the Copa.

I would have liked to see Morata but that's OK. I'm sure he'll feature at some point during the season. Jese deserves his call up though, he's been in great form.
