This is how I would line-up.
3-0 - Leo scores twice.

I would line-up this: VV - Alves - Masche - Puyol - Adriano - Cesc - Busquets - Iniesta - Pedro - Messi - Sanchez
Villa needs to be benched to feel that he needs to perform. Two terrible games in a row > bench. 2-0 with that line-up that I will put.
Knowing Pep he will put his favourite person Keita and he will slow our tempo, we will line-up in 3-4-3 or smth, 1-0 after bad performance, but Pep will be happy that humble Keita played 90 minutes.
3 players that won't make final squad will be Maxwell, Fontas and Cuenca.

`Note: Pique & Busquets with 4 yellow cards..
1 card away from their 5th --> miss match against Madrid in 2 weeks ?..
so they should take a yellow card in this match..

Rayo don't have any really skilled players to look out for. But they do have heart. However heart=/=skill and they just aren't that skilled to attack or defend well enough to trouble you at home.
You should win this one.
However here is a Japanese mud slinging good luck ritual for Rayo

Classic 4-3-3 starting line-up please, we need it. So long as Busi - Iniesta - Xavi start we can win any game. Variations can be made in defense and forward lines, but the midfield needs to be that. That being said, if Iniesta is a risk then I'd rather not play him - he needs to make it for the clasico, otherwise our chances of success significantly decrease.

We need a goal-fest, atleast 4-5 goals, as well as shutting them out. It's alot to ask but I think it will do a world of good for morale heading into El Classico.

If I was Piqué and Busquests (if they play) I would be tempted to get red card because there is always a likely chance that they might get a yellow against Levante, making them miss out against Madrid.
VV, Alves, Puyol, Pique, Adriano, Busquests, Fabregas, Thiago, Sanchez, Messi and Pedro.
Inestia, Villa and Kieta will come on.
hopefully the scoreline reads something like 3-0. Messi will score one, Fabregas one and Villa with a late one.
Good luck Barca!

The team needs to play good this time. But please Pep, please... do NOT play Keita...
Villa, Messi and Alexis should start as our forwards. Hopefully Villa will score 1 or 2 goals to boost his confidence. He may have been playing a bit poor but he has been better than Pedro, who should start on the bench.
Thiago & Fabregas in the midfield with busquets and our usual back 4.

Re: La Liga 2011-2012 (Week #14): FCBarcelona vs Rayo Vallecano
I dont know about who plays and I cant guess the score.
But what I would like to see is an aggressive and angry Barcelona, not a feel sorry for yourself or worst still "act like nothing happened" Barca.
We have done it before after a bad result, the very next game come in with an aggression and take no mercy with the opponant even multiple goals up.
I dont think a win changes anything in term of mindset going into the Madrid game, but a bad result would put us into a min crisis type situation.

Fantastic goal is a sign of things to come. I missed the second and third goals, someone brief me on both? So happy Villa got a goal.

Assist XaviBlackmore. wrote:Fantastic goal is a sign of things to come. I missed the second and third goals, someone brief me on both? So happy Villa got a goal.
41′ Goal Alexis Sánchez
GOL! Alexis again! Messi looks to split two defenders as Xavi marches on goal, but the ball hits the veteran midfielder, flying up and finding Alexis at the left side of the box, and as he ran on goal, the winger touched the ball into the right side of the net.
Assist Daniel Alves
44′ Goal David Villa
GOAL VILLA! 3-0! Pique makes a run nearly into the box, rather sending Dani Alves through alone with Villa, and the Brazilian decided not to be selfish, playing the ball softly to the former Valencia man, who finishes with a low effort as the Rayo defence was caught off-guard.

Dont mean to be negative, but too many long balls and too many turnovers. Once we scored we improved on that though.
Looking to see aggression and conviction still in the second half, not just seeing the game out.

Re: La Liga 2011-2012 (Week #14): FCBarcelona vs Rayo Vallecano
A very worrying start. The team lacks the dynamism that made it famous. The 3 goals certainly help but I think there are still some serious problems that need to be addressed. That being said, it's a breeze of fresh air to score 3 goals from the area that has been lacking the most - the wings. Rayo are particularly vulnerable in their right, where we scored all three goals. Xavi's pass was fantastic for the second goal, and i think i twas on purpose.
All in all very excited by the way we finished.
Also Villa scoring is a gift sent from heaven, expect him to score regularly now.
ETA: Also, Iniesta should get subbed out. If he gets re-injured as a result of this game I will never forgive Pep. MOTM so far.

You can't be serious right? Over Sanchez? Iniesta hasn't taken part in any of the goals yet and has turned over a good amount of possession tbh.BarrileteCosmico wrote:A very worrying start. I think the change that allowed us to score and give our game width was putting Sanchez on the left and switching Messi to the right with Villa in the middle that allowed runs into the middle and gave Sanchez a ton of room.
