How highly do you rate Daniel Sturridge?
6 League goals so far this season from RW.
More than Kalou, Drogba, Torres, Anelka, Lukaku & Malouda combined.

Re: How highly do you rate Daniel Sturridge?
Still has things to work on.
For example he should pass more often, however he was amazing at that in Germany and I want him to do that more. I think he's under the notion that he needs to score in order to impress, but that just gets you as far as Hernandez. Also he should continue tracking back more often, although that will come with experience as he only has played through the middle before.
He has the ability to boss the game on other aspects too.
Interestingly though, I think I saw a stat which said that he scores more when he is with Lukaku or Drogba but less with Torres. I think that has something to do with Drogba moving around the pitch and holding the ball which allows him to come through the center, while Torres just runs the channels.

Re: How highly do you rate Daniel Sturridge?
A lot of talent, frustratingly selfish.
Last week for example. Other than his goal, he was pretty much playing against his own team mates. at 1-1, he had a chance outside of the box, and instead of passing it he scuffed his shot wide. Liverpool scored from the same play.

He is already, and he will only get more important.
He will be a starting RWF or CF for years to come.

Good dribbling if given space, excellent vision for a english forward may be only second to rooney already. Is versatile though he should stick with wings or as a SS .Decision making will improve with time, that loan spell at Bolton did wonders to him.

Didn't see the last 15 minutes but thought he had a very good game today even with Bosingwer doing his best to take him out of it.
Nowhere near the finished product but his talent is undeniable.

Good, but Walcott's better. Definitely studied in the Ronaldo school of teamwork.

Very good player, very strong. I dont know why he prefers being a number 9, we would never see the type of dribbling or the goal he created today.

Re: How highly do you rate Daniel Sturridge?
I was actually surprised to see him use his right foot to set-up the goal. I think that's one of his biggest weaknesses; he's a bit too one-footed, which effects his decision making and ability to produce that final pass.
I like him a lot and think he'll be a top player soon. He just needs to work on his right foot and decision making more.

He scored with his right foot not so long ago too (forgetting the game).

Re: How highly do you rate Daniel Sturridge?
dude's been a boss. he should be ahead of welbeck and carroll in the england team, and pretty soon bent. sturridge is obviously the real deal, but has some minor issues to sort out before he's..... world class.

He is one of top 3 young players in England.
I hope Capello calls him up for Euro 2012.

Really like him. At the start a season I think he didn't know his team yet so always tried to do everything by himself, got much better now though. Definitely ahead of Welbeck and Caroll for England.
