De Laurentiis: 'Man City's money...'
Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis took a sideswipe at Manchester City’s millions. “Money isn’t everything...”
This is not the first time the Hollywood mogul has used City as an example of why UEFA should implement the fair play rules quickly.
“In these eight years it has been a continual cavalcade of emotions in a stadium that has always been very generous with its passion,” said De Laurentiis.
“Tonight’s success proves two things. The first is that perhaps money isn’t everything, as even with balanced books you can still go far.
“The second is that the connective tissue of this Napoli side is strong and can give us great moments.”
Last week Manchester City confirmed they ended the financial year at a loss of £194.9m.
