Thiago Silva is apparently on his way to Milan so thats one more CB off the list.
The lack of any talk on the CB front doesnt inspire much confidence although Rossell works quietly so it might actually be a good thing.
I just hope we dont go into next season with the same set of CB's and a couple of promoted ones.

The lack of talk is because of the Euros, we won't make any moves till after I feel.

It could also be that with Euro-news the papers feel like they don't need to make up as many news to sell papers. But that's about rumors in general, not CB-related rumors.

I Would've loved it if we would sign T. Silva. But yeah, rumour has it PSG is offering 50M and 9M a year to Thiago. That shit cray. Vertonghen is also pretty much signed by Tottenham now. I'm guessing they are going to go all in on Javi now, but will have to wait untill Spain is knocked out before being able to make real steps in signing him.

Javi Martinez? Well I guess he is better than no one. I prefer him than Barta or Fontas tbh

Last season Barça spent a fair deal on signings and it is expected from them to do the same this summer too. I frankly do not see Javi as the saviour of Barcelona's defensive problems even though I regard him as a fantastic player. I would personally look to sign one of Arsenal's centre backs just to keep the tradition of 'stealing' Arsenal's talents.

You have said this a few times now. Verm is an injury prone centre back and well I really don't like slow backs so Mertesacker is definately out of the question and the other two usuals (black guy and Kosielny) I find can't seem to perform on good days. Arsenal have a former Barca product who could be a regular starter for Arsenal next season though I forgot his name. He played a few times in 2011-12 and played well considering the lack of first team experience he has.

I've said it a few times because I believe a club of Barcelona's ambition should not go for the attitude of "I guess Javi Martínez is better than nothing". Don't get me wrong, Javi is a fantastic player, a clever midfielder whose addition would be a blessing for any team. However, I believe Vermaelen or Koscielny are better suitors for the defensive centre back role Barcelona should be looking for than Javi. And I have my reasons for it, mainly because Martínez is not a natural centre back and is arguably going to cost Barcelona more than the either of the centre backs mentioned.

I've read that there is a brasilian youngish CB called Dede that is very good. Someone has ever watched him?

I agree with this.

Martinez is a great overall player, but in terms of centerbacks, who is still learning the position and you can see it.

I too would rather have either of Arsenal's 2 CB's, than him.

Big (6'3, at least 85kg), strong, yet mobile beast of a defender. Monster in the air, physically imposing and fairly decent on the ball.

But, 2 games isnt much to go by obviously..but he has a good rep.

Has anyone seen the interest in Sergi Roberto? Apparently Milan, Atleti and Chelsea are all after him and Chelsea are willing to offer 10m. It wouldn't surprise me as he's quite a bit like Lampard. Barca and the player don't want him to leave, which I'm happy with. I think he deserves a chance, could be a useful player.

Oh and Mino is about to go to Mallorca.

I don't know anything about Dede or the N'kolou Guy (someone has watched N'Kolou) but I think I prefer them to the other options (David Luis, Javi Martinez)... mainly because I know the other two and i know they are not right for us.

10m for Roberto is decent and the combination with reunited Oriol Romeu will be great to watch. Mino has waited so long to get a chance to play in the first team but it seems that Oier was more preferred which was a shame and he also had to compete with Oier and Masip for a position in goals so it wasn't like he was expecting a go in the second divison. Hope we sell him for good money because after Riverola going for free, I want some more money to spend. Please Sandro sell him for good money

We would ask for More IMO, we are in a much better position than Milan are and have no need to sell what so ever after pulling a massive profit with our CL win.

So I doubt a 40m offer would make us sell.

We don't want to sell Roberto or Tello, that is the club's position.

Riverola didn't go for free either. Bologna will pay us a formation fee of around 700,000 euros I heard. This covers his expenses we've paid to get him to where he is today.

40m for Luiz? God no... I wouldn't pay any more than 15m for him whether you would take it or not. Would rather this Dede guy.

If PSG are legit interested in him we might lose him, they seem like the type to throw crazy money and Rossell loves money.

Alves joins T.Silva with Alex and Maxwell. What a defense... The new kid sounds good through the reports so maybe we can get him? I prefer him than no one...

Dani Alves isn't getting any younger and we might receive one crazy deal, something worth thinking about.

I don't really want to lose Dani for any money, but if it does happen, we better get a truckload that we can use to buy quality... Not compromise players.

Tbh, I really can't see us reaching the levels we hope of this team without Dani Alves. If he goes, then I might very well consider it to be the end of a cycle.
