Who is the best Italian second striker?
Seconda Punta
As one leading football nations, Italy is a country who was not known for producing/playing wingers. They are however a talent producing machine in two areas, the Center Back and Secondo Seconda Punta aka Second Striker. Famous for Catenaccio, discussion regarding defenders is not scarce, however you cannot say the same about second striker. Italy have produced many world-class second strikers and several of them even have the magical playing style of Fantasista, so let's pick from this bunch that most of should have known. :king:

Re: Seconda Punta
Based on reputation I would say Baggio, based on who I've seen play in their prime I would say Totti. Placing Cassano on that list is a bit of a joke tbh.

Re: Seconda Punta
Id go with what M99 put although I rate Del Piero as high if not a tiny bit higher than Francesco, whom I love also.
There isnt much between them but just personal preference.
Also where is Giovinco!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Seconda Punta
Don't know about second striker, but Di natale is the best finisher in italy... and one of the best in europe... however a striker has to do much more than just finishing... but if u give di natale the chance, he will bury it.

Re: Seconda Punta
Totti is the 2nd highest scorer in Serie A history, considering that the player who has more goals than him (Silvio Piola) played in the 20s/30s/40s when football was still largely amateur in level, I'd say we are looking at the greatest striker in the history of Serie A. Maybe not a decorated club player, but surely he is a legend from an individual standpoint.
