I'm 23 years old and been supporting Juve all my life from all the way across the ocean. Who is anyone to tell me he's a bigger or better fan than me and what are his bases? Some people need a reality check.
You realize what is wrong with this statement ? Home based fans are bound to cheer for the most successful team in their country ?
Are you kidding me ? Find me a foreign fan who supports Catania. Chievo.
Is it any coincidence 70% of Real Madrid's fans are not from Madrid ? Guess what ? Same goes with Juventus. So yeah, great, sound argument. What a baseless assumption.
There is no such place as "Turin," just for your information. And yes, the fact you could choose any team makes you more of a fan ? That makes a lot of sense. I am a fourth-generation Juventino so honestly, if you want to do a quick comparison, by all means, start one up.
Home based fans are the ones filling the stands, by the way.

Re: Juventus Fan Club - Lebanon, Beirut
Actually Turin is Torino in english and spanish.
What I was trying to say is that being italian or from Turin does not makes you a better juventino.
What are your arguments for saying those are better juventinos than most of the people in this forum who live far from Italy?
They fill the stands? Yeah. Wouldn't we wish to fill the stands? Of course we would! If it was up to me I'd walk to the stadium every weekend but I can't. I live in Venezuela in south America and the economical situation in my country is *bleep* up. I can barely afford to pay for my expenses, how can you expect me to save up to travel to Italy?
Yes I chosed to support Juventus. In my opinion that is as honorable as you being a 4th generation juventino. Why? You were told to be a juventino or you saw your rolemodel being a juventino and wanted to be like him. I did not have anyone, I fell in love with la vecchia signora on my own and through Del Piero.
I'm sorry if that doesn't makes you proud but I'm sure Del Piero or Conte would be proud to have a fan base all the way down here.

Torino is the only city I recognize...the other just sounds dumb in my opinion.
Like I have stated before, the majority of foreign fans have "fallen in love" with teams that are successful. That is a fact. Nothing special about picking one of the top teams and claiming to support them, really, there is nothing too great about it. I can go and choose to support Barcelona. Does that make me a great fan ? Nope.
Why is everything about race or money ? You asked me why home fans are better than foreign ones and I said that the former fills the stands. Does not matter why or how, they just do. That is all.
Congrats, you saw a top player playing for one of the best teams in the world and you started to follow them...okay, great, but that is not in any sort of way comparable to having historical background behind your love for the club and that is what it comes down to.
Once again, people need to stop assuming. The last sentence you did it again; you have absolutely no leg to stand on with that comment, nor do you have any reason for assuming and implying I said what you wanted me to say because in retrospect, I said nothing.

once again u are NOT currently one of those HOME fans that fill the stands on a daily basis.
ONCE AGAIN u live in Canada [which last I checked is located in North America, not close to Europe]
ONCE again as it stands now someone in FRANCE has a better chance of claiming they are CLOSER to Juve than you currently are, going by your own argument.
ONCE again by categories stated u as much fall in your much maligned "foreign fan assault" arguments....
p.s: and lest I forget, Canada CURRENTLY and would most probably continue for a longer time, butters your bread..... so shut it....

What is funny though is I hold season tickets and was born there, something nobody else here can say.
I am in Canada for schooling, and my Father for business. Point being what ? In case you were unaware, there is a difference between living somewhere and going to school somewhere. I am not even a Canadian citizen fully, I am in part. So once again, good try all.
Anyway, this is getting silly. Having to rely on currents to make you feel better about the past.

I will never be in Turin...Torino you mean ?
What is hilarious is I spend at least three or four months in Italia.
Your argument is quite absurd given the fact Canada in particular is built upon immigration, and its political system is one which allows for people to keep their culture present. Seen by the many "Little Italia's," "Chinatown," etc. and seen by the fact that religious attire is accepted, as are numerous other things so clearly you can be whatever nationality you are originally somewhere else.
If I was in Africa, I would still be Italian. If I was in Asia, I would still be Italian. It is not dependent on location. It is my blood.

I'm tired of this, is like talking to a wall.
I don't think I'm willing to keep posting here for some arrogant intolerant kind of racist kid to make idiotic arguments for his supposed superiority.
Keep thinking you're superior to everyone man.

Rude ? That kind of question is a little hard to take serious. The tickets are not even sold because they are sold out, and honestly, if you have to ask where something is, you should not be there. Like going to a nightclub and asking where the VIP section is. But nonetheless, if the lad did not know, no harm done, but nobody was rude, Kwame.

Kwame, I did not bring it up. Once again people assume I am a racist when I have not said one thing offensive to anyone's culture or nationality. I post one emoticon and the entire thread turns into a war which I had no part in even doing. I was merely defending the claim that foreign fans are somehow better than home grown ones, which was initially posed, and then you got involved as well and tried to make it worse when it needed nothing.
It really gets quite tiresome when people do this...they complain about me but they throw oil into the fire.

you see the irony is no foreign fan is claiming to be ITALIAN.
Juventus offers the RIGHT of support INTERNATIONALLY.
You as much have a stake in claim to its support as the next guy of a country formed tomorrow....
that is why u have NO RIGHT of POWER over any fan here. learn to know that difference.
JUVENTUS is not owned by your family.
JUVENTUS lists itself on the stock market. Gives right of shares to NOT ONLY ITALIANS but the INTERNATIONAL WORLD as a whole.
fan =/= CITIZENSHIP.
JUVENTUS doesn't have CITIZENS it HAS FANS

Like I said, everyone here can hold their majority view...but it is only the view of the majority of this forum.
My view is the actual majority, the one held by the club's Drughi Tifosi, so that is fine by me. I may be persecuted here, but you all are the ones in for a rude awakening if they ever get their hands on you.
Juventus is a business, and anyone can partake in business, but not everybody can love it. That is a fact no matter what you try to reason and convince yourself of.

you know there are so many Italian based Juventus fan forums where you can be loved and embraced?
Oh wait, my good friend Mike [alaitaliano] was born and grew a bit like you in Turin [Torino] before like you moved to UK [in your part Canada] and doesn't share the same views as you. I know a lot of Juve fans on skyscrapercity.com who are Italian, born, bred and STILL live in Torino who actually are so very welcoming to the MAJORLY FOREIGN FANS of Juve on skyscrapercity and guess what they don't share those same views as you....

You might find very few, but Juve in the past 4-5 have been nothing more than Catania or Cheivo and yet you see non-Italian fans still supporting the club, even in your adventure in Serie B, and constant 7th place.
And you are veeeeeeeeeeeeery far away from filling one seat as it is now, so welcome to the "not true fans club" , and the international fan base are the ones getting you broad casting money 10X the money from the stadium.

Wow, this is one thread that went completely wrong ...!
the whole purpose of me initiating this thread is to show how Juve has fans all over the world, even in a small country in the middle east Lebanon . A country that is always suffuring from wars and political conflits, internal and external conflicts and still people find joy in supporting juventus.
I would like to share with you a small fact: Lebanon in 1975 till 1990 had a civil wars between christians and muslims and till now conflits exist...
The picture above united christain and muslim Juve fans.
So all of you discriminating and arguing nonsense, Grow up .

I'm sick of his pseudo-intellectual bullsh*t and so is everyone else...
Lol...when I say the same thing and directly confronting him I got people like kingalex getting smug and telling me if I don't like the forum then I shouldn't post and that I was provoking him lol! So I put all those clowns on ignore but its good to see that these people are unwanted and soon they will be out of here so people can enjoy the forum once again
