Madrid fans do seem to be on a roll today. May this be because the teams they were playing for were not competing at the top, and because no one focuses on other clubs in La Liga except those two? I mean, if one of those were to have joined one of those two clubs I'm sure we would be hearing plenty from their respective fans by now.

Re: Is David Silva the best AM in the world ATM?
I think someone mentioned this on the post already. But here is goes:
Silva was already a great player in Spain, but he has become better since joining city. Players elevate their level of skills and abilities when being surrounded by other players (who are just as good or better) to compliment them. This is hardly rocket science.
Other example of players upping up their game after joining a better/bigger team include
Kevin prince Boateng/ Portsmouth to Milan
Ashley Young/ Villa to United
Alves / Sevilla to Barca

Yep.
I'd go along with that.

City is topping the league atm, and David Silva is their best player. Hence why he is getting all the hype.
I didn't say that he didn't deserve his hype. I was only explaining why people now rates Silva higher than before. I mean Silva had also played great for Valencia but he never got as much hype as he is getting now..
Blue explained it why? Because his team is beasting EPL, and he's one their best players. I don't remember Valencia beasting La Liga.
And what's all the EPL hate here, the OP is a Milan fan, and has nothing to do with EPL.
He just improved, he's playing with better players - that's why he's so effective, and hyped, it's nothing related with leagues.
Mata just moved to the PL and the same thing is happening with him and Chelsea isn't beasting.
We were beasting in the beginning of the season.Mata was/is playing exceptional for us.
Mata and Silva receiving all of the hype has more to do with joining a bigger club then moving to the EPL.
It happens in every league, just look at Khedira and Ozil when they joined Real Madrid. relatively unknowns players in Bundesliga, now very much hyped.
They started receiving all the hype because they joined Real Madrid. Little to do with them playing in L Lega. Same thing with Mata and Silva, they are receiving all the hype because they joined a bigger club.
Also Silva is entering his prime and playing his best football.

So Ozil is actually crap, but only shined because in La Liga they are not used to seeing passes and dribbling like his?

Or maybe, you guys just dont appreciate them enough or give them their dues.
To you all, they are "just like others". It shows how much you value the players and talent you have in the league and are just taking them for granted.
If they had joined Barca or Madrid and they had carried the very same form they are carrying now, you guys would have been bouncing off walls.

You do realize it is 1 person and some of you are doing the same because you are only highlighting them now. I remember when Che use to be talking about how good Silva is and some people would say he was exaggerating when he wasn't some people here said it before and it was dismissed. It was also said Aguero probably wouldn't do good in the prem.

They also won't be in the limelight in La Liga all the time as well because there are many quality players with technical ability.

Silva doing great isnt to do with what league he is in, he does and would do great in any league because he is a great player.

dnmac4 wrote:I know it's hard to hear but if you take out Silva and Mata from the EPL the lack technically sound attacking midfielders in the EPL is scary.
It's pretty much why Arsenal and now City are the only teams who can or even want to have the ball for 60-70 percent of the game.
IF you look at Spain, Italy and even Germany the EPL really lacks in this area of the game and England just can't produce these tupes of players. Except for the great Joe Cole of course.
doesnt stop the likes of chelsea and man utd doing well in the CL though. its just that england has a different style of play. teams usually dont depend on midfield creativity to get goals. whats wrong with that?

It wasnt directed at YOU, but to whoever doesnt appreciate Silva and the like.
A guilty conscious pricks the mind ~
And I dont think people dismissed him or Aguero being bad based on their technical skill, but based more on their physical attributes.
I for one wasnt realy keen on them playing because I felt they woud get roughed up badly and even worse, get an injury that would destroy their career.
Cause we all know Stoke is jealous of their legs.
Like The Franchise said:
"Silva doing great isnt to do with what league he is in, he does and would do great in any league because he is a great player."
And you saying that they wont get the limelight all the time because there are so many quality players with technical ability makes sense, but they should be appreciated for what players they are and moreover you guys should be thrilled at the level that is present in LaLiga. Instead you guys are just swatting away their comments like they dont deserve as much acclaim as the players playing in LaLiga.
Halamadrid's comment wasnt even close to appreciating the talent they possess.
