Del Piero: 'A contract reminder...'

Alessandro Del Piero jokingly responded to the controversy over his Juventus departure. “The President reminded me when my contract expires.”
There was fury among the Bianconeri faithful when President Andrea Agnelli revealed during a simple shareholders’ meeting that “this will be Del Piero’s final season with us.”

Many expected a formal announcement with some degree of grandeur, considering he has been their star player for 17 years.

Del Piero has so far refused to comment on the revelation, but was stopped by satirical television show Striscia La Notizia.

“Let’s say the President reminded me in advance when my contract expires,” smiled 37-year-old Alex.

This does not mean Del Piero will hang up his boots for good, as Milan are ready to take him on as well as Swiss side Sion and several clubs in America.

when he left we came 7th twice...
