Re: Discussion for Forum Changes
I liked the Off-topic section better when it was only one section.
"Off-topic" says it all to me, I'll go there to check out what non-football stuff is being discussed, some of it interests me, some doesn't.
Now I've got to browse half a dozen sections to check out off-topic threads.
Not that it's a big deal, though, just saying.

I personally found it simpler and better when the off topic section was one section

Gonna have to agree. Now I have to open like 5 tabs instead of just one.Lionel Messi wrote:I personally found it simpler and better when the off topic section was one section

Re: Discussion for Forum Changes
I'm sorry guys, I appreciate all what you have done with this forum, but I have to respectfully disagree with the new multi-off topic split.
5There are 4 forums I usually visit as this is GS, Milan, Liverpool and the off-topic.
I open the single tab so I can observe and go through a multitude of topics all within one single page.
For this its all split up in 5 as there are 2 things wrong with this:
1. I don't want to open up tabs as some here including me use this forum through the mobile and even so, its a pain.
2. The general views and contribution WILL go down since most of the topics won't be caught on by the eye of lurkers and members alike. Think about this one.
Its like what the facebook board have done, fixing something that isn't broken.

Re: Discussion for Forum Changes
We didn't split the Off-topic section up because we wanted to.
It was vastly disorganized and while it made it easy for many of you to see the threads you wanted to post in, from the Administrative side, it was a big bother. We had to do something to better organize that section as it was becoming a sinkhole for pretty good threads that got ignored.

Re: Discussion for Forum Changes
It didn't seem like the traffic in the off topic section was that bad though that a thread would get lost in it

I totally agree.
I really didn't see any problem with the off-topic section at all. These changes have just lead to more tabs and more browsing and I'm sure everyone just wants to keep it as simple as possible
The only section that needed to be revamped was the International Tournaments section since no one used it.

Disagree......
Now we can post gaming threads, music threads, film threads , tv etc etc......
And not fear them being thrown to the bottom of the page at the rath of Justin Beiber it is much better this way......

Admins, those that dislike the idea FEAR CHANGE. They're the types of people that will freak out when Facebook makes the most minor update that hardly anyone notices. Not only are threads not sinking.... more interesting, intellectual conversations are taking place.

Re: Discussion for Forum Changes
We should have a section called "Classics"
Where we can store the great threads that we create.
Another interesting section to have would be "The Huntsman section" where we could put every epic trollfest, comedy show, and locked(not any locked , but just the interesting ones) for later reference.
Of course this thread would be named after the Michael Jordan of Trolling
Username:Huntsman.

I actually agree with that idea We have had many hilarious threads that should be saved for historical and creative reasons.

Re: Discussion for Forum Changes
Doesn't have to be troll threads, but heavy debates like that Italy - Portugal thread would have been nice to have in one place for future reference.
Or this whole Benzema-Higuain debate.

I don't think the off topic section has enough posters for a thread to get lost inImmaculate_Mole wrote:

Re: Discussion for Forum Changes
I dont use the off topic section much, but it would probably be better if it was split in 3 like someone suggested, not 6. The league and country sections (most of them at least) arent used, so if you could delete or reduce them, it would be good. Maybe just one forum for internationals, and another for 'League Discussion' or something where smaller clubs can have their discussions and threads.
I know this is supposedly dead and buried, but I preferred when the rep system was more easy to use, as in under our names instead of on our profiles. Also, anything on the new forum format or skin?
