From the other thread where we were discussing this Razz

BarrileteCosmico wrote:Great change guys Thumbs up Thumbs up cheers cheers

May I suggest moving The Hub up above international and leagues? It would make it more accessible and perhaps increase participation in the new sections.

Also, again just a suggestion, what happened to the old section? If not too time consuming (and I realize you guys have lives Razz ) could someone move the active threads to the corresponding section? That way we could carry on old conversations. Nevermind, you guys are already doing this. Razz

BarrileteCosmico wrote:I like them too, but we could perhaps remove the white background to make it fit into the theme better. I have some free time on my hand, so if you're interested just let me know Smile

Edit: just saw your edit, i'll get on it.

I just think it was better when everything was in one place. You can see topics much better. It's just too many sections now.

But like Cro said, kudos to the admins for listening to suggestions and acting on them.

I think it's better this way. If someone has an important tech issue, say, and creates a thread trying to get answers, it usually gets bumped and shuffled to the bottom by threads discussing Charlie Sheen's ass or how much Rebecca Black sucks and that important question is never looked at

While you may get used to it, I do see where you're coming from Devil. There are many sections that are not being used right now and it does give a sort of overcrowded feeling, and it would feel cleaner and leaner if they were outright deleted. I think that this would be a better solution would be rather than keeping the offtopic section as it was before.

Yep. Sections like the CL and other league sections and national sections that hardly anyone posts in. For me, I don't really visit many sections, so I kinda like it when everything is one section and I can just read and post in easily.

For the sections that aren't being used much, we have opted to adopt Rwo's suggestion of using them as archives from the General section.

So a big thanks to Rwo power for that awesome idea. We hope that by moving some of these threads into the underused sections, we might be able to kickstart some activity there. It may succeed or it may equally fail, but it deserves a chance so we're gonna give it that chance.

Please keep in mind as well that part of these changes are to help the Mods and Admins watch over things more effectively. For instance, having the political, religious, and other such incendiary topics all in one space apart from the more stable discussions makes it much easier for me to make sure they do not get out of hand or overflow into other, unrelated topics (hopefully).

Not the biggest fan of the changes, I liked it more when it was all in one. Sometimes it just leaves some of the split up sections more empty than others and it will be harder and a lot more to click through just to see whats happening in the off-topic part of this section.

Post by zizzle Sat Oct 15, 2011 3:22 am

we'll the new sections add a sense of organization, but i think its a bit too devied that way. i know i wont go to 6 different sections to see all the new threads coz im way too lazy, but since i heard complaints about how annoying scrolling down for some members is, i can say that im not the only lazy person

that said, we can divide the old off topic into 2 or 3 different sections max, for example, gaming and tech should be on one section coz most of the people who like one automatically like the other. Odds and finds & life and humor will make 2 small subsections on their own so putting them under one roof makes more sense. The Religion and Politics (and science as i suggest) deserves its own section, while media and entertainment could be merged with 1 of the other sections just for the ease of use

the way i see it is this

Gaming + tech
Odds and tinds + Humor + Media and entertaining = (insert name here)
Religion, Science and Politics

This. Delete the league and national sections since any topic that evolves two or more teams will automatically go to the general section. hell even one team related news that might be interesting to others go under the general section

Yeah I agree, I was skeptic at first but actually posting in these sections I seem to be enjoying myself more.

Hopefully with time some of the dead sections will be renamed to country sections or taken out completely, it's nice to see changes are being made. Thanks.
