On Sahin... i don't think Mou thinks he will be ready for the Barca games. So he's playing the guys that he can use for those two games.

I had similar thought. Khedira+Pepe+Alonso are enough. Khedira has to play B2B AM then Very Happy

To dictate the game, you need midfield generals, not kaka and granero. at the start of the second half, we were doing just that, but at the end of the day, it comes down to a team style.

I find Alonso far too static on the ball imo

we are vulnerable to those long throws which are a part of the english game and set pieces in general.. idont know how many noticed that one of the few times spurs caught our defense out it was those damned throws n freekicks... have to improve on them

I actually think it will be Khedira-Coentrao-Alonso. We need Pepe and Varane to play the CB spots because of their athleticism. Key with Barca is to recover once they initially get past you. Carvalho has slowed even more and i don't trust him to do it anymore.

Alright so how did we do? who was MotM? Did Benzema do well today, was he influential?

so the benz and alonso practically won the match for us... where was cr7? Im not surprised Pipita hasnt come back. he wont be coming back for a long time. until he comes back, do not judge him until he has fully recovered...

winning isnt really the thing. but the performance they showed.

cr7 wasnt that aggressive today. he played in the 2nd half. played like a simply friendly match Smile

Benzema seems to remember how to be consistent it appears..... u guys think benz cud have scored the first goal instead of assisting callejon from his position?

You try certain things in preseason that you don't in a regular game... as a CF, unless the pass is 100%, you go for goal when you're free and facing the goaltender. If you miss, you miss. But that's your job.

The funniest part of this game was the first half. Granero was meh and Kaka invisible. Khedira was bossing, but couldn't do it all alone. So Benz basically played AM for the last 30 mins. He was seriously coming to the midfield and sitting outside the box to distribute. As much as i'm critical of Kaka, it was really sad for him.... he seems completely over the hill right now. I hope it's just a preseason thing.
