Just found out why the maps are so big and the weapon placements are so random.

The 4 standard maps shipped with the game were designed for FFA :facepalm:

I played the 1 map that came with the free execution DLC called Haven and it seems much more like the maps i'm used to.

If they can release more maps which are designed for team based play and an actual emphasis on controlling power weapons i MIGHT actually like it.

Because tbh the gameplay is good i just find the maps to be terrible.

Gears 2 was favorite game until Gears 3 came out and thrashed the whole franchise...

Judgement has little effect on greatness that was Gears 1-3. The franchise is fine, they just pulled a Halo. Very Happy

I wish i could believe that Izzy i really do, but all the major guys who made the game great from 1-3 have since left.

I'm not confident in the people that are left in making a great game.

Gears 1 story mode co-op was great, those were the days. Destroying RAAM with my m8 Sad

Franchise has fallen out for me for me after 2 for some reason

I would like to believe they realized how sub-par Judgement was and will go back to what made the game great even if the major guys who left.

I'll give them another chance.

You can't have rain and darkness when there is sun out, why do you think they had sleeveless armour?

Also Gears 2 online is a joke so nah, absolute unplayable garbage.

Moal ffs Gears 2 was the best gears don't hate on that shit. Ill play Gears 3 then if anyone is up to it

Gears 2 story was the best in the series but the MP is unplayable.... terrible host advantage, crap matchmaking and just an all round lag fest.

For me I just don't quite like it when sequels feel like what the previous game should have been in a sense. Which seemed like the approach of Gears of War 3. Just make the same kind of game as the last one just make the online function. It was an incredibly safe sequel.

Which is why I was kind of turned off since then. 3 was a Good game, but I feel like when you start making games up into the 3s/4 more has to change. But in a good way obvi. I hear Judgement changes a bit but isn't very good, haven't even bothered to play it yet though.

In all seriousness though i heard Gears 5 is really good, but cba to buy an Xbox for one game and quite frankly the skill gap has probably passed me by at this point.

Can't think of Xbox without thinking of GOW and Halo.

Mate bought GOW5 just because of the sake of continuity and he said it's pretty good but more of a Nostalgia buy at this point.
